We Need Your Help:
Bring Back the
Old Town Temecula Gunfighters!
Howdy folks!
Due to Temecula City code enforcement,
The Old Town Temecula Gunfighters will be in Old Town Temecula tomorrow, the fourth Saturday of the month, but are not currently allowed to perform our free shows as previously planned.
The Old Town Temecula Gunfighters have long held the tradition of performing free monthly shows in Old Town Temecula on the 4th Saturday of the month for over 38 years. We provide family-friendly entertainment and education to keep the rich history of the Old West alive for residents and visitors from California, across the United States, and international visitors as well.
After last month's performance in Old Town at the Hotel Temecula, the City's code inforcement department notified us that we are no longer to perform at the Hotel due 2 complaints made after our performance (they did not specify the nature of the complaints). For the last several years, the city has removed us from presenting Western Days annually, and has not allowed us to participate in the city parades. It seems they intend for us to cease all performances after nearly 4 decades of voluntary service to arts, culture, history, entertainment, and gun safety education in the city of Temecula.
If you support what we do for the city of Temecula, please come out to Front and Main in Old Town Temecula at High Noon tomorrow, Saturday, to show your support for us and also ask the City Council to allow the Old Town Temecula Gunfighters to perform in all capacities that we have participated in during previous years.
Thank you all for your long-time support our participation in the history of the Old West, gun safety education, and entertainment. Please direct your questions for us in the comments. Please support us by contacting your Temecula City Councilpersons and come to the City Council meeting in Council Chambers, 4100 Main Street, Temecula, at 4 pm on May 26th.
Happy Trails!
