The I-15 Smart Freeway Pilot Project officially launched last week, marking an important step toward improving traffic flow and reducing congestion along one of Southwest Riverside Countyโ€™s busiest freeway corridors.

This innovative partnership between RCTC, Caltrans, the Western Riverside Council of Governments, and the City of Temecula will use advanced technology and adaptive ramp metering to help improve travel time reliability and create a smoother commute for drivers traveling through Temecula and Murrieta.

The launch event also recognized Congressman Ken Calvert, Congressman Darrell Issa, Tribal Chairman Mark Macarro, and Riverside County Supervisor Chuck Washington for their support in helping secure funding and advance this important regional project.

As our region continues to grow, investments in transportation infrastructure remain critical to supporting local businesses, employees, residents, and visitors.
