TVUSD Governing Board Meeting 8/18
What to watch:
1. At the last meeting, the board pulled the high school IB textbook Protest and Change, it is back to action today.
2. Resolution to support Prop 98 and timely funding. As of yet, the Board has not made a statement on ensuring the funds are available in 2 years time. Public School Funding is facing a cliff in 2 years, with TVUSD standing to lose $80 million from current funding.
3. Increasing Sub Compensation to be competitive with neighboring districts.
4. Second Reading of Mobile Communication Device Policy
5. More self regulation and patriotism exposition: attorney access bylaws, campus visits, requiring national anthem to be played prior to JV and Varsity matches.
