We had an incredible turnout for Hoffmeyer Animal Rescue, Inc. dog boater safety day! We fitted over ONE HUNDRED Lake County adorable boating pets with a free brand new life vest! It was amazing to see how many of you took the time to make sure your pups are safe out on the lakes this summer. We love our community and are always so grateful for their support of our non profit so it was exciting to be able to give back! Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped with this enormous task yesterday and to Pet Supermarket for having a team here to volunteer and hand out free goodies too! 🚤 🐾 🐶

⚠️ Important Reminder

A Rabies Alert is still active through June 22nd in Tavares (see map for Rabies zone location). For your safety, please avoid touching unfamiliar animals (yes, this includes kittens), even if they appear healthy. *Remember to get your pets Rabies vaccine updated.

Contact Lake County Sheriff’s Office Animal Enforcement for sick and injured animals at 352-343-2101. If you are bitten or scratched by an unfamiliar animal, wash the area immediately with soap and water, seek medical attention, and report the incident.

📣 Adoption Event! Join the adoptable kitties of Hoffmeyer Animal Rescue this Saturday, May 30th! Hosted by PetSupermarket on Regency Village Drive in Orlando from 12-3:00pm. All kitties are available for on site adoption! Not quite ready to adopt? Stop in and get some kitty love, say hi, and visit.

Our cage free adoption center will be open all weekend 12-8:00pm Friday and 12-4:00pm Saturday & Sunday. The kitties are anxious for some visitors 🐾🩵💜
