Tavares Lodge No. 234 and Eustis Lodge No. 85 consolidated on May 8th 2017. The new Lodge is called Peninsular No. 85, please visit that page for current happenings, since this page is not constantly monitored. The Lodge meets on the 2nd and 4th Mondays, dinner at 6:00 and the meeting starts at 7:00. Thank you.

Lake/Sumpter Chapter Order of DeMolay will be at Leesburg's Installation tomorrow (1-13-18) to perform the "Ceremony of Light". If you have never seen this ceremony or if you know somebody who might be interested in joining DeMolay it is something to behold. The message and the visual presentation rival anything we have in Masonry. Please come out and show your support it starts at 10:00 at the Leesburg Lodge.

****Update**** Lloyd's service will be Saturday June 3rd at Central Christian Church at 3720 N. Hwy 19 in Mount Dora. Services will start at 10:30, all Masons should be in propper attire at the church by 10:00.
It is with a heavy heart that we have to inform you that our Brother Lloyd Kussman has passed on to the Celestial Lodge above. He passed away Friday evening April 28, 2017. Lloyd was having surgery on his hip after a fall. The surgury was a success, but it proved to be too much for Lloyd's health and he did not recover. Lloyd's wishes are to have a Masonic service, so please keep a watch on this page to stay informed as to when the service will be and where. He will be missed greatly. Alas, my Brother!

Two of our Brothers headed down to Clermont and joined in on their Fellowcraft Degree. Congratulations to Doyle Clemence and Peter Deschanes for passing. A special thank you to Clermont for allowing us to bring these Brothers down to join in on the
fellowship.

It was great to watch our DDGM, R:. W:. Larry Duff become a Rainbow. "Lucy Lu" has never looked better. We all sang "Little Buttercup" to finish off the ceremony. The pictures do not do it justice.

The services for W:.Thom Doran will be held this Saturday, March 18th at 10:00 am at Central Christian Church of Mt. Dora. (3270 N Hwy 19A, Mt. Dora) There will be a church service, military service, followed by Masonic services. Please remember to dress in appropriate attire. Those wishing to be part of the services, please arrive by 9:30. Let's make sure to honor or Brother with plenty of attendees.

Remember Brothers, tonight is bowling at Strike Force lanes in Tavares, behind the Chevy dealer. Starts at 6:30. $10 gets you shoes and unlimited bowling. Bring the family, friends and anyone who might be interested in Masonry. We are sponsoring the DeMolay boys, so come down and support our youth!

It is with deep sadness and regret, that we have to inform you of the passing of W:.Thom Doran to the Celestial Lodge above. He ceased his earthly labors Tuesday evening. There will be services, possibly on the 18th, so keep checking back for further details. Please pray for the family and friends who are grieving.

Brothers we are entering into uncharted waters with the consolidation upcoming, we should keep this phrase in mind when we're trying to get everyone to agree on what we should do going forward. We have a great opportunity to do some wonderful things let's not let the old ways get in our way.
