Scampy Youth Boat Building Program

Scampy Youth Boat Building Program “Sunnyland Chapter Apprentice Mentoring Program for Youth”, SCAMPY, was established in 2009 to introduce youth to boating and boating safety.

It allows students to learn boat building skills while they are mentored in the use of hand and power tools.

We’re so excited to celebrate Preston & Isaac, who have each completed their very own sailboats through the Scampy Youth Boat Building Program!⚓

Join us for a special Launch Party as they set sail.

📅 Saturday, October 4th
🕘 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
📍 Trimble Park

This event is open to all Scampy families and their friends & families — bring your boat, enjoy time on the water, and help us celebrate together. We’ll have food and drinks to share! (Please RSVP below so we know how much food to have)

The SCAMPY program has an immediate need for a mentor to work with a new student 1 day a week from 10-1PM. Saturday morning is preferred time. Experience not necessary. Shop Forman will provide guidance.

Proceeds from the sale of the boat go to The Sunnyland Boat Club's youth boat building program.

This is a high quality ski and wakeboard boat. Built with a “no wood” construction hull. The upholstery and seats have been refurbished. Boat has been recently sea trialed and performed well.

The SCAMPY shop has been designated as a drop off point for this years Toys For Tots drive. The shop is typically open Tuesday and Thursday from 9-noon and Saturday from 10-1pm. Please bring unwrapped toys to 31129 Industry Dr unit 200 Tavares 32778. Cash donations should be made payable to Tots for Tots. Feel free to take time and get a tour of the shop and our program.
