Every dive site has nuances you won’t find in a basic GPS pin.

Current conditions, entry points, hazards, local considerations, seasonal changes... the small details can completely change a dive plan.

Divers Atlas was built to help divers share the kind of knowledge that makes exploration smarter, safer, and more informed for everyone who comes after.

Because underwater, good information matters. | https://www.diversatlas.org

Some of the greatest underwater exploration work ever completed is disappearing.

Old cave maps.
Broken forum links.
Dead websites.
Expedition notes lost on forgotten hard drives.
Entire exploration histories slowly fading away.

Divers Atlas exists to change that.

We’re building a permanent home for the underwater world: a place where explorers can preserve their maps, discoveries, photography, expeditions, and stories for future generations.

Not just another social platform.
A living archive for underwater exploration.

Because exploration deserves a legacy.

If you’re heading to the National Speleological Society - Cave Diving Section Conference this June, we’ll be there too.

Fino and Brent are speaking about Divers Atlas: what we’ve been building and how divers are using it to get a better sense of cave sites before they get in.

If you’re diving caves, this is for you.

Come find us after the session. We’d love to show you what we’re working on and hear how you approach a site.

If you’ve been to Bonaire, you know how many good shore dives there are.

We’ve got a lot of the sites mapped already, but what’s missing is the stuff that actually helps once you’re there.

How’s the entry?
Anything to watch for?
What were the conditions like?

That kind of detail usually just stays with the people who’ve dived it.

If you’ve been, or you’re heading back this year, add what you know.

Even one tip or a few photos helps the next diver show up more prepared.

Last week, I was driving through Florida with my family on vacation and my wife asked what dive sites were nearby.

So I opened Divers Atlas.

Pulled up the map, tapped the location button, and just started looking around.

We ended up finding a bunch of sites I didn’t even realize were that close.

I stopped on Ginnie Springs and scrolled through the page, seeing what other divers had shared about it.

That’s exactly the kind of thing we built it for.

If you’ve dived a site, add it. Someone’s probably looking for it on a road trip right now.

Most dive sites don’t come with the kind of info you actually need.

Not the stuff that tells you what it’s really going to be like before you get in.

So you show up and figure it out as you go.

Sometimes that’s fine. Sometimes it’s frustrating. Sometimes it matters more than that.

The thing is, that knowledge already exists.

It’s with people who’ve been there. They know the entry, the conditions, the little details that make the dive better.

It’s just not all in one place.

That’s what Divers Atlas is trying to do. Bring that knowledge together so you don’t have to start from zero every time.

If you’ve dived a site, you probably know something that would help someone else.

Add it.

Some divers don’t just explore a place; they leave it better for the next person.

David Banks added 8 dive sites across Cozumel, building out the kind of detail you only get from being there.

Places like:
Columbia Shallow
Palancar Cave
Punta Tunich
Cedral Wall
Tormentos

The kind of dives people travel for...now easier to understand before you ever get in the water.

This is how we build the map.

If you’ve been there, you know something that matters. Add it.

Speaker Highlight for the 2026 International Cave Diving Conference!

Brent is an explorer driven by a lifelong curiosity for what lies beneath the surface. After serving as an infantryman in the U.S. Army in 2005, he earned an engineering degree and led major energy projects before launching his own company. Since 2018, Brent has focused his passion on SCUBA diving, becoming a certified cave and rebreather diver while documenting remote underwater environments. Through his platform, Brent Dives, he shares compelling content that inspires a global audience to explore and protect the underwater world. As a co-founder of Divers Atlas, Brent is committed to building a lasting resource for the diving community. Above all, he values his role at home as a husband to Sarah and father to their daughter, Lena.

Serafino Bohrer-Pavados (aka Fino BP) wears a few hats, equal parts pilot, diver, and conservationist. Fino brings a serious attitude towards safety, leadership, and the responsibility of exploration. Fino's military career has centered on leading teams in high-risk environments where preparation accountability, and decision-making are critical. That same mindset now guides his approach to diving, from planning and ex*****on to safety advocacy.

I captured these with my 360 drone, and it's changed how I look at dive sites. Drone shots like these let you actually see the terrain and entry before you even gear up.

That’s a big part of why I've spent the past year building Divers Atlas, so divers can actually see the places they’re planning to explore with a clearer picture of what they're getting into.

More context.
Better planning.

Before every dive, there’s a gap.

You’re standing at the site, looking at the water, trying to piece things together:

Where’s the best entry?
What are the conditions?
What should I be aware of?

Most of the time, that information exists.
It just isn’t accessible when you need it.

So divers figure it out themselves…
or learn it the hard way.

Divers Atlas was built to change that.

It’s a place where divers share real, site-specific knowledge
so others can go in informed, not guessing.

If you’ve dived a site, you already have something that could help the next person.

Add it.
Or use it before your next dive.

Some divers don’t just remember a site; they help others experience it better.

Gary Lefebvre created this 3D model of the Tugboat U.S. La Vallee and shared it on Divers Atlas, giving other divers a clearer way to explore and understand the site before they ever get in the water.

The U.S. La Vallee tugboat sank in Lake Champlain in 1939 and remains a well-preserved freshwater wreck at the mouth of Shelburne Bay.

This is what shared knowledge can look like when it’s turned into something useful.

If you’ve been there, you know something that matters.

Add it.
