☕❤️ A wonderful evening of coffee, culture, and connection!

CNY RISE Center’s Turkish Coffee Night 2026 brought community members together for meaningful conversations and interfaith understanding.

Thank you to Reverend Suzi Harriff for sharing reflections from her interfaith journey to Greece and Albania and reminding us of the power of building bridges across cultures and faiths.

With homemade Turkish cuisine, traditional treats, Turkish coffee, and Kazakh tea, the evening celebrated friendship and togetherness.

We RISE by lifting others.

CNY RISE Center and Embrace Relief came together to support the Eastwood Neighborhood Food Pantry with a donation of winter socks, slippers, and clothing for elderly community members in need. 🧦🥿❤️

The pantry provides essential support to local seniors and neighbors facing financial challenges. We are grateful for this opportunity to work together and bring warmth, comfort, and care to those who need it most.

Today, CNY RISE Center joins communities across the nation in remembering September 11 and honoring the lives lost, the families who continue to grieve, and the first responders and heroes who served with extraordinary courage.

On this solemn anniversary, we reaffirm our commitment to the values that bring communities together: **peace, compassion, mutual understanding, and service to others.**

May remembrance inspire us not only to look back, but also to work together for a more peaceful and united future.

In Memory of Our Dear Friend, Mark Cass

CNY RISE Center is deeply saddened by the passing of Mark Cass of the North Side Learning Center.

Mark was much more than a valued community partner — he was a great friend to CNY RISE Center and someone who consistently brought kindness, warmth, and a genuine commitment to serving others. His friendship and dedication to building a stronger, more connected community will always be remembered and cherished by us.

We are grateful for the many moments of friendship, collaboration, and shared service that we had with Mark. His presence made a difference in the lives of many, and his loss will be deeply felt throughout our community.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, colleagues at the North Side Learning Center, and everyone whose life he touched.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un.
Indeed, we belong to Allah, and to Him we shall return.

May Allah grant Mark the highest level of Jannah, forgive his shortcomings, and grant his loved ones strength, patience, and comfort during this difficult time.

🧡 This week, CNY RISE Center distributed fresh meat to families in Syracuse and Utica in honor of Eid al-Adha. 🌙

In Syracuse, we partnered with Marty Nave, 1st District Councilor, to support 11 families, and in Utica, we worked alongside The Center to reach 28 refugee families.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this meaningful community effort possible.

🌙 Eid al-Adha Mubarak!

CNY RISE Center was honored to partner with New Americans Blessing Box for a successful Eid al-Adha Gift Bag Giveaway in Syracuse.

It was wonderful to see families, children, and community members come together in the spirit of generosity, compassion, and celebration. Thank you to all of our volunteers and supporters who helped make the event possible.

CNY RISE Center invites you to our 9th Annual Public Service Award Dinner.

This year’s theme, “Collaborative Community Policing,” highlights the importance of partnership, trust, and shared responsibility in building stronger and safer communities.

In collaboration with the Syracuse Police Department and the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office, this special evening will bring together community members, leaders, and law enforcement to recognize outstanding service and strengthen connections.

We are honored to welcome Mark Rusin, Chief of Police, as part of the program.
