CNY RISE Center was honored to partner with New Americans Blessing Box for a successful Eid al-Adha Gift Bag Giveaway in Syracuse.

CNY RISE Center invites you to our 9th Annual Public Service Award Dinner.

This year’s theme, “Collaborative Community Policing,” highlights the importance of partnership, trust, and shared responsibility in building stronger and safer communities.

In collaboration with the Syracuse Police Department and the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office, this special evening will bring together community members, leaders, and law enforcement to recognize outstanding service and strengthen connections.

We are honored to welcome Mark Rusin, Chief of Police, as part of the program.

CNY RISE Center was honored to host our 13th Annual Community Ramadan Dinner, bringing together faith leaders, public officials, law enforcement, and neighbors for an evening of reflection and unity.

From Qur’an recitation and sunset prayer to Sufi music and an inspiring keynote by Dr. Mobin Karimi of SUNY Upstate, the evening highlighted the deeper meaning of fasting — compassion, empathy, and shared humanity.

We are grateful to InterFaith Works, Syracuse Police Department, Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office, and our many community partners for joining us in this 13-year tradition of connection and dialogue. 🌙

CNY RISE Center was honored to join another wonderful Annual Capital Ramadan Dinner in Albany, where senators, assembly members, and community leaders came together to break bread and celebrate our shared human experience.

We extend our sincere thanks to Rachel May for joining the evening and for her continued engagement with our community. We are also grateful to the Peace Islands Institute for organizing such a meaningful gathering that promotes dialogue, understanding, and unity.

Events like this remind us that when we come together across cultures, faiths, and perspectives, we strengthen the bonds that make our communities thrive.

The 2026 Ramadan event organized by CNY RISE Center in Utica was filled with reflection, unity, and a strong sense of community as families, faith leaders, and guests came together to share the spirit of Ramadan.

🌙 4th Annual Ramadan Dinner

CNY RISE Center will host its 4th Annual Ramadan Dinner on February 19 at:

📍 259 Genesee St, Utica, NY

The evening will highlight this year’s theme, “Celebrating Diversity and Coexistence,” and will include Qur’an recitation, keynote remarks by Dr. Winston Soboyejo (President, SUNY Poly), the Adhan at sunset, community Iftar, and a live music performance.

The program brings together faith leaders, educators, and community representatives in recognition of Ramadan and the shared values of service and unity.
