Welcome to the Official page of the Organization of Triangles, a Masonic Youth organization for young ladies between the ages of 10 and 21 years old, in New York State. For nearly one hundred years, Triangle has provided young women a vibrant and dynamic group where they can make friends and better themselves. Our official page is dedicated to showing the world our beautiful orga

nization, and everything it has to offer the young women of New York. The Organization of Triangles, Inc., was the dream of one woman, who wanted to teach her children the fundamental values that would make them successful leaders and noble adults. Rose E. Scherer, was born on November 18, 1883, in New York City. In 1925, Mrs. Scherer was Grand Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. She conceived the idea of a fraternal youth group for the daughters of the Eastern Star and the Masonic Fraternity, to be a type of preparation for future membership in the adult organizations. She presented her ideas to the Grand Chapter, and they were received with great enthusiasm. At the session in 1926, her efforts were accepted and adopted to be under the sponsorship of the Order of the Eastern Star. In the Spring of 1927, the first Charter was presented to a Triangle. Mrs. Scherer was designated lifetime State Director, and served in that capacity until 1975, when she retired at the age of 92. Scherer believed that the first duty of man was to love his Creator. She was a devout servant of the word of God. Education was also very important to our founder, and her aim for each day was to learn something new. Her patriotism and devotion to her country was well known, and she never neglected an opportunity to sing its praises. She believed that the second duty of mankind was to serve one another. Her slogan was "Not Self but Service." Scherer believed that the third duty of man was to love and respect himself. Scherer's goal for this organization is to build "A Finer American Womanhood". Her teachings and dreams for Triangle have enriched the lives of thousands of young women. There have been, at one time or another, one hundred and forty seven Triangles chartered all across New York since Mrs. Scherer began the Organization nearly a century ago.

While it may seem to be in the very distant future, on the weekend of July 10-12 2026, the young women of the Organization of Triangles, Inc. will gather together in Old Forge, NY, for their biennial Leadership Weekend.

Each year, the Organization produces an Ad Journal to help offset the cost of our state events for the members, and we hope you, your business, or your organization will consider taking an ad or making a donation. The Ad Journal will be made available to all those in attendance that weekend.

New this year, we will also have cabin sponsorship opportunities!

We hope that we can count on your support of the young women of the Organization of Triangles, Inc. Message us for details and forms!

Today and every day, we remember that freedom isn't free. We honor the memory of America's sons and daughters who selflessly devoted their lives to protecting our nation and made the ultimate sacrifice in its name.
