Heritage Sylvania Heritage Sylvania is a multi-site historical and educational non-profit located in downtown Sylvania.

Heritage Sylvania is a non-profit history and education center located in Sylvania, Ohio. We manage the Lathrop House - an Underground Railroad station, the Cooke/Kuhlman Home - an early 20th century doctor's home and office, the Sylvania Historical Village - a collection of original and recreated historic buildings and the Sylvania City Archives. As of July 11, both the Lathrop House and the Cook

e/Kuhlman House (Heritage Center Museum) are now open to the public on a regular basis. The Lathrop House is open Sundays 1 - 4 and the Cooke/Kuhlman Home is open Saturday 11 - 2 and Sunday 1 - 4. Have you been playing our monthly Artifact Escapades game during each Red Bird Sylvania First Friday?

This month's mystery artifact is connected to the First Friday Art Walk theme. Think you know what it is? Submit your guess before 5:00 p.m. on Friday! Everyone who submits a correct answer can stop by the Sylvania Historical Museum to claim a prize.

This Friday is Hippie Fest—one of the most popular First Fridays of the year! Enjoy live music, unique shopping, delicious food, and plenty of groovy fun throughout downtown Sylvania.

While you're out and about, be sure to stop by the museum and check out our corn husk flower demos. We can't wait to see you on Friday!

Unfortunately, due to staffing, we will be closing the Cooke-Kuhlman House this Saturday 5/23. However, all three sites will be open on Sunday 1-4pm. AND the Cooke-Kuhlman House and the Historical Village will be open Monday for Memorial Day from 10am - 2pm. We look forward to seeing you soon!
