Congratulations to Dr. David Danzeisen, and thank you for your service to our country. As an outstanding and accomplished graduate, he will be inducted into the Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame on Friday evening.
🔹Dr. David Danzeisen is a Family Medicine physician whose 35-year career reflects a rare blend of service, leadership, and humanism. The son of Dr. Milo Danzeisen, DDS, and Chrissie Danzeisen, he grew up shaped by a deep respect for healing, learning, and kindness. A graduate of Wittenberg University with a degree in English Literature, he earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University on a U.S. Air Force Health Professions Scholarship. It was there that he met his wife, Dr. Kathryn K. Holder Danzeisen, who would become both his life partner and fellow Air Force physician. Together, they served their country on active duty for nine years, building a shared life of service, resilience, and purpose from Okinawa to Germany to humanitarian missions in the Philippines—and deployed in support of NATO stabilization forces during the Bosnian conflict. He remains deeply proud of his service as a veteran.
Since joining Kaiser Permanente in 1999, Dr. Danzeisen has cared for generations of families in Fairfield, CA, while rising into leadership roles, including Chief of Adult and Family Medicine and, currently, Physician-in-Charge of the Fairfield medical office.
Beyond medicine, Dr. Danzeisen is a devoted husband and father to two remarkable daughters, Gabrielle and Sophia, who inspire him daily. He is a community volunteer, Chamber of Commerce board member, and passionate advocate for literacy. He established a reading scholarship in memory of his mother and regularly volunteers reading to children. A lover of literature and the humanities, he often reminds colleagues that, in the words of Abraham Verghese, “The physician–patient relationship is key; all else follows from it.”🔹
