April is designated as National Child Abuse Prevention Month in the United States, a time to raise awareness and prevent child abuse. The Sylvania Township Police Department, in partnership with the Exchange Club of Sylvania, stand united in the fight against child abuse and neglect. The Exchange Club of Sylvania has generously donated care bags for patrol officers to disseminate when responding to a time of crisis involving children. The contents of the bags include comfort items such as stuffed animals, blankets, and coloring books.
This month encourages communities to work together to support families and create safe environments for children. Together, we are committed to raising awareness, supporting families, and protecting the children in our community. Prevention starts with all of us.💙
