The mission of the Keep Watch prayer initiative: "To see every school covered in prayer so that the power and presence of God are experienced in our communities." Colossians 4:2 says, "Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful." Jesus asked His disciples to "watch and pray" the night before he was betrayed, so they would not fall into temptation. Ephesians 6:18 tells us to "be alert
and always keep on praying for all the saints." We engage God with expectant hearts, waiting on Him, confessing our sins, and interceding for others. We ask Him to raise up a generation that loves Him with all of their heart, soul, mind strength, has clean hands and pure hearts, that follows Him regardless of the cost. Families are the foundation, the fabric of our society. For too long our communities, families and relationships have been ravished by the enemy. We will wait on the Lord, moving forward in battle, active in this unseen war which takes place in the heavenly places. We ask God for conviction of sin, repentance and revival. We believe God for salvation, repentance, freedom, protection, light, purity, unconditional love, and healing of hearts, relationships, families and communities. We will invest our hearts, our time, our passion, realizing that the eternal destiny of many is at stake. We are asking God to raise up a remnant from every school that will keep watch and pray, both through individual prayer and prayer walks through/around schools. We desire to mobilize and equip the local church to serve their neighborhood schools, through meeting practical needs along with praying in/around each school. We desire to cover each student and staff member in prayer daily. We seek to train and equip believing students, staff, and parents so that they develop a lifestyle of seeking the Lord and praying for others. Receive weekly prayer strategies full of scripture to help you impact your world. "Real praying is a costly exercise but it pays far more than it costs. It is not easy work but it is most profitable of all work. We can accomplish more by time and strength put into prayer than we can by putting the same amount of time and strength into anything else."
