HUGE THANK YOU to everyone that supported the Sycamore Music Boosters during Give Dekalb!!! We beat our initial goal and hit 97% of our stretch goal! Between mail in donations that are still being processed as well as community doner funds that are distributed across all the nonprofits, there's no doubt we'll make or beat that stretch goal when the final numbers come in. You helped us set a record; we are currently at 38 donations, the highest number of donations when looking back over the last 5 years! We also beat last year's donation amount and are currently sitting at the 2nd highest donation amount when looking back over the last 5 years. Your generosity is incredible, we can't thank you enough and we will put the funds to good use supporting Sycamore's Music Program.

Sycamore's Music Program was 2nd place for the 3rd consecutive year at the IHSA Class A Sweepstakes and the hard work of our students and teachers isn't going unnoticed! Did you know ALL of our music program was honored by being selected to be featured in different events throughout Illinois this year? With this honor comes expenses: bus rentals for transportation and meals for our students. That's where the Sycamore Music Boosters comes in, with the generous donations we receive and funds we raise; in partnership with the school district we were able to cover the costs making it possible for our student musicians to participate in each of these events. Thank you so much to those of you who have already donated! We beat our initial goal and are at 73% of our stretch goal! Summer camp scholarships is one of the many places we spend funds. Last year we gave out 29 summer camp scholarships and we are currently processing applications for this summer. Summer camps are often intense weeklong full day sessions where students play as a full group, have instrument specific instruction and take technique courses to further their development as a musician.
