Social Current We drive the future of the social sector through collaboration, policy, and practice excellence.

Everything we call “the system” was built through choices: what gets funded, who gets heard, what gets measured, and which assumptions go unchallenged.

That means different choices can build something different.

Five & Rising is bringing communities together to question the rules, test new models, and create a social sector free to innovate and deliver impact without limits.

We are not here to work around a broken system forever.

We are here to help build the next one.

Let’s rise.

Quality improvement works best when it is part of the organization's everyday work. Our Strategic Impact Partner, QIFolio, brings key data-driven activities into one complete software suite, helping health and human services organizations connect chart audits, strategic plans, and key performance indicators.

Attend the group demo, “Managing Quality with QI Folio,” to learn how they can help you build a stronger, more connected approach to continuous quality improvement. RSVP to attend Sept. 9: https://ow.ly/1BLa50ZHsUR

Across the country, Dolly Parton is cherished for her artistry, larger-than-life persona, and humanitarian vision of change. Compelled by her lived experiences, she used her influence and wealth as a force for good. To this day, her charitable work continues to uplift and protect the dignity of historically underserved communities.

Dolly's incredible life story has inspired many to pursue careers in the social sector, and her loss now moves us to reflect on our own impact. We celebrate her well-deserved legacy and commit to carrying on the work of advancing systemic change.

"There is nothing noble about burning through your health, relationships, or optimism to demonstrate your devotion to a cause. A sustainable life is not a betrayal of your values. It may be a way you honor them.”

A recent “Ask a Nonprofit Expert” column touches upon a common theme: feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, and questioning whether it’s worth staying in the nonprofit sector. The Nonprofit Quarterly unpacks this familiar dilemma and offers some guiding questions and frameworks to help folks decide how to proceed: https://ow.ly/OWwG50ZFoJI
