The Legends Ride® presented by GEICO Motorcycle is dedicated to bringing rally goers together to raise significant funds for local charities. This event has, since its inception in 2008, raised over half a million dollars for charity and hosted riders from all over the world, in addition to some of the biggest names in television, film, music and motorcycling. unrivaled rally tradition! The Legends Ride was created by the Sturgis Buffalo Chip® to raise significant funds for worthwhile charities in the Black Hills of South Dakota. The goal of the event is to positively impact local youth and preserve the rich heritage and history of motorcycling by uniting the motorcycle, music and entertainment industries, as well as riders from around the world. By galvanizing the generosity and dedication among Legends Ride organizers, sponsors, dignitaries and media, the event continues to create awareness and build broad public support. The Legends Ride begins in the downtown of historic Deadwood, followed by a thrilling ride through the beautiful Black Hills, ending at the Legendary Buffalo Chip where riders will enjoy a private reception and special live auction. The Legends Ride celebrates the spirit and culture of motorcycling while showcasing the generosity and willingness to give amongst riders. Children in need, veterans, Special Olympic athletes and the local Black Hills community will benefit from the extreme generosity of the biker community, who raised a record $530,498 through Sturgis Buffalo Chip charity events during the 84th Sturgis Rally.

The altruistic nature of Sturgis Rally visitors is on display every year, but for the first time ever Sturgis Buffalo Chip events raised over half a million dollars in one year.

The Ride That Rocks is getting a makeover for 2024, and we're coming out the gate with the addition of celebrity guests for the Legends Ride – Ian Ziering , Blake wallenda , Lloyd Greer- Lloyd'z Garage , Rod Woodruff and Daymon Woodruff.

The event will start with a grand kickoff at The Center of the Nation Monument in Belle Fourche, SD, which will include the Legends Lunch, celebrity meet and greet opportunities and more. Then it’s kickstands up for a scenic ride to the Buffalo Chip for a private reception and charity auction.

All rider contributions benefit Special Olympics South Dakota - Rapid City Flame and Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame .
