Sturgis Unified Parent, Teacher, Student Association is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization comprised of families, students, school staff, and community members dedicated to the educational success of ALL children and the promotion of parent involvement. Our hope for this organization is to provide a powerful voice for all children, be a relevant resource for families in the public schools and tho
se choosing to homeschool, and support the Sturgis Intermediate School and Sturgis Williams Middle School. PTA/PTSA is one of the few youth-focused organizations that actually gives its youth members equal opportunity, equal responsibility and an equal vote. A student may serve in any PTSA office. All officers, adults and students alike, must perform duties of the office as outlined in the bylaws. PTSA involvement can help students gain leadership skills such as goal setting and conflict resolution. They will learn how to run a meeting according to parliamentary procedures, strengthen their decision-making skills, and be comfortable with public speaking. Sturgis Unified Parent-Teacher-Student Association’s mission is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children. Our Values are:
