Class of 2026

Paul Langley is an executive leader, performance innovator, and global powersports strategist whose four-decade career has helped shape the racing, performance, and distribution sectors of the motorcycle industry.

Early in his career, Paul partnered with Dynojet Europe, helping establish modern standards for motorcycle diagnostics, tuning, and performance testing. He later held key leadership roles at Vance & Hines, where he guided championship-caliber racing programs and transformed motorsports technology into consumer products that enhanced both competition and everyday riding experiences.

Widely recognized as the architect behind the legendary Indian FTR750, the dominant flat-track racing motorcycle of the modern era, Paul played a pivotal role in propelling Indian Motorcycle to multiple AFT Manufacturer Championships while also inspiring the highly successful Indian FTR street platform.

As President of S&S Cycle, he advanced emissions-compliant performance parts, strengthened OEM partnerships, and drove innovation throughout the V-twin aftermarket. Today, as Chairman and CEO of LeMans Corporation, home to Parts Unlimited, Drag Specialties, Parts Europe, and Parts Canada, he continues to influence global powersports distribution and industry standards.

In addition to his industry leadership, Paul serves on the Motorcycle Industry Council Board, reflecting his ongoing commitment to advocacy, policy, and the long-term growth of motorcycling.

🌟 Bike Spotlight: 1969 Velocette Thruxton 🌟

The 1969 Velocette Thruxton is often regarded as the last of the great British single-cylinder motorcycles. Outlasting both the BSA Gold Star and the Manx Norton by nearly a decade, the Thruxton survived long enough to compete against the first wave of modern Japanese superbikes.

With roots tracing back to designs from 1935, the Thruxton's story came to an end in 1971 when Velocette closed its Hall Green factory in Birmingham, England, and quietly ceased operations.

A true factory-built café racer, the Thruxton evolved from the highly respected Velocette Venom. Despite its traditional 500cc pushrod engine, the Venom had already earned a reputation for outstanding performance. In 1961, a factory-supported team set a 24-hour world speed record, and in 1964 secured a class victory in the prestigious Thruxton 500-Mile Endurance Race.

The Thruxton quickly established its own racing legacy, earning a class win at the 1965 Thruxton 500-Miler. In 1967, a pair of Thruxtons captured first and second place in the inaugural Production TT on the Isle of Man, cementing the model's place in motorcycle racing history.

Before production ended, only about 1,100 Thruxtons were built, making them highly sought-after classics today.

✨Hall of Fame Spotlight: Mary McGee✨
Class of 2026 | Kickstands Down Award

Mary McGee was a true trailblazer who shattered barriers and redefined what women could achieve in motorcycling. Beginning her riding journey in 1957, she became the first woman in the United States to earn an FIM road racing license, opening doors for generations of female racers.

Never one to back down from a challenge, Mary transitioned from road racing to off-road competition and continued to make history. In 1975, she completed the Baja 500 solo, finishing ahead of several two-person teams and proving that determination knows no limits.

Throughout her remarkable career, Mary competed in road racing, motocross, and off-road endurance events. She also served as a test rider and writer for Motorcyclist magazine, sharing her knowledge and passion with riders around the world.

For more than six decades, Mary championed motorcycling and encouraged women to pursue their dreams on two wheels. Through speaking engagements, mentorship, and advocacy, she inspired countless riders with her message of perseverance, adventure, and joy.

Her incredible legacy has been recognized through the film Mary McGee: Motorcycle Pioneer and her induction into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame. Today, we proudly honor Mary McGee with the Kickstands Down Award for her lifelong dedication to racing, adventure, and empowering future generations of riders.

A pioneer. A racer. An inspiration. Her legacy rides on.

Doug Domokos, better known as “The Wheelie King,” was one of the most legendary stunt motorcyclists the world has ever seen. 🏍️🔥

Born in Niles, Michigan, Doug discovered motorcycles at just 15 years old and immediately fell in love with riding. He spent countless hours practicing near abandoned railroad grounds and quickly became a talented motocross racer. Working as a mechanic at Red Bud Cycle, Doug often “test rode” bikes by popping wheelies, and before long, crowds at RedBud MX events were gathering just to watch him perform.

By the late 1970s, Doug’s incredible talent caught the attention of Kawasaki, launching him into a full-time professional stunt riding career. Stadiums and racetracks across America soon witnessed the unbelievable skills of “The Wheelie King.”

In 1981, Doug signed with Honda, helping engineer custom motorcycles built specifically for wheelies. His performances took him all over the world, including England, France, Italy, Japan, Mexico, and South America, even performing for the Emperor of Japan.

One of his greatest achievements came in 1984 when he entered the Guinness Book of World Records with a jaw-dropping 145-mile wheelie at Talladega Speedway, a record that stood for more than eight years.

Doug Domokos also set records for:
🏆 The World’s Tallest Wheelie, riding five circles atop the Empire State Building
🏆 Wheelies with eight passengers on a three-wheeler
🏆 Wheelies with six passengers on an ATV

Doug wasn’t just a stunt rider, he was a true pioneer who helped turn motorcycle stunt riding into a worldwide spectacle. His passion, skill, and fearless personality made him a legend whose legacy still inspires riders today.

“The Wheelie King” forever. 👑🏍️
