♥️THIS COMMUNITY SHOWED UP IN FORCE.♥️

After sharing this family’s story, our community came together in an incredible way.

Because of your generosity, the family received much-needed clothing, personal care and baby items, diapers, hygiene supplies, towels and washcloths, seasonal clothing, gift cards, monetary donations, and other critical necessities to help them begin navigating life after losing their home and belongings in a devastating fire.

Donations were collected through Love In Action included direct Amazon Wishlist purchases and monetary contributions from people who simply wanted to make sure this family knew they were not alone.

Every bag, box, gift card, donation, prayer, share and act of kindness represented something bigger: a community willing to show up when a family needed it most.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who gave, shared, prayed, delivered, purchased, donated and opened their hearts. Your generosity helped provide practical necessities while also reminding this family that they are surrounded by people who care.

Posted on behalf of the family with their permission: Thank you for being the community that shows up.

Want to be a light in the dark? Join our community of givers today.

♥️🫶FAMILY IN NEED♥️🫶
—New or gently used only, please—

Imagine waking up one day and everything you’ve worked so hard to build is suddenly gone.

That is the heartbreaking reality facing a local family after a devastating house fire took their home and belongings.

Thankfully, their two children are safe. Their mother is still fighting through the aftermath. She is currently at the DC Burn Center after suffering serious damage to her throat. Although she did not sustain burns, her injuries are severe, and she is currently unable to breathe on her own.

While she fights to heal, her family is left facing the overwhelming reality of starting over — without a home, without their belongings, and with so much uncertainty ahead.

♥️This is a moment when community matters. ♥️

LIA is asking our community to come together and help carry this family through a time no family should ever have to face alone. Every prayer, every act of kindness, every donation, and every share can make a difference.

Please help us surround this family with the love and support they so desperately need right now by praying for healing, peace and provision. Share this post, consider purchasing a critical item, give where you feel led — every bit helps.

We absolutely LOVE serving our community! ❤️

And the cherry on top? Having Delegate Delores Oates, her assistant Carol, and , Jessica Cottrill of Blue Ridge Agents Insurance right there beside us, serving our community alongside the LIA Mobile team! 🍎🥦

We’re grateful for leaders and community partners who don’t just support the mission—they roll up their sleeves and serve right alongside us! 🙌❤️

On a recent Friday, a Middletown mother's cupboards were bare and her wallet was empty, leaving her and her son with nothing to eat. Since her son is homeschooled, he
