Our amazing I Can 2 athletes won metals in the Virginia statewide special Olympics!! Our area athletes compete as representatives from Area 13 which was one of 32 local area programs. To understand the significance of this achievement the metals were won amongst hundreds of other competitors. Featured from left to right is
Alex Ward who won the silver medal (2nd place) in the 25 yd freestyle swimming event
Ben Nelson won two 1st place Gold metals in two events- the 25yd freestyle swimming as well as the 25 yd breaststroke
Ryan Butts won the bronze (3rd place) in the shot put track and field event.
Congratulations to our outstanding athletes on this high achievement. Your dedication and hard work paid off. We are so proud of you!!

What's going on at I Can 2? Well last week we celebrated our first of the May birthdays with a bowling party!

It was such a fun time celebrating Gregory with bowling, food, and amazing friends!
