The Sherando High School Band Booster Association is seeking business sponsors for the 2026–2027 school year, a year that promises to be one of the most exciting in program history.

From Friday night lights and regional competitions across Virginia to local parades and community events, the 160+ member Sherando Band will be highly visible throughout the year. The upcoming year will also mark the band’s national debut at the Bands of America Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship at the University of Delaware in October.

Join us for the Sherando Band’s final concert of the school year on Wednesday, May 20th!

The evening will begin with performances from our Jazz Combo groups in the commons at 6:25 PM, followed by the full concert at 7:00 PM in the auditorium.

This performance will be especially bittersweet as we celebrate our graduating seniors and their final performance as members of the Sherando Band. We hope you’ll come out to support these incredible students and help us close out an amazing year of music together.

🔴⚫ Sherando Band / HundredX Fundraiser Launch ⚫🔴

We’re excited to launch one of the easiest - and most impactful -fundraisers of the year, and we need your help to hit our goal of raising $10,000 for the band this Spring.

Starting now and continuing through June 9th, you can support the Sherando Band just by sharing your opinions on the products and services you use every day. It’s all part of a program called HundredX Causes - and it’s 100% free for you.

Here’s how it works:
- You give quick, anonymous feedback on brands you know - good or bad!
- Each quality response earns the band $1.60
- You can do up to 75 responses during the campaign timeframe (max. 25 per day)
- Each person who participates can raise up to $120 for the Sherando Band!
- You must be 18 years old or older to participate.

The best part? There’s no cost to you. Nothing to purchase, no donations required! Instead, you just provide your honest feedback to help fund things like instruments, uniforms, meals, and all of the other things the Boosters do to support our students.

Our Sherando Band students have been incredibly busy over the last month, and we are so proud of all they have accomplished!

On April 15th, six students represented Sherando at the All-District Jazz Event held at Central High School in Woodstock. These students sounded amazing and represented our program exceptionally well! Congratulations to Hannah Mangan, Morgan Kirk, Jose Dominguez, William Norris, Sawyer Benson, & Logan Haworth!

On April 25th, several Sherando Band students performed at the VBODA Solo & Ensemble Festival at Aylor Middle School. Congratulations to Andrew Ahrens, Jose Dominguez, Blakely Lawrence, Logan Tresidder, Logan Haworth, Maddie Sanchez-Ramirez, Myles Cardenas, & Morgan Kirk, who all earned SUPERIOR ratings!

On May 9th, the Sherando Jazz Ensemble performed at the Chantilly Jazz Festival at Chantilly High School. The ensemble earned an impressive score of 89.33 and received a SUPERIOR rating! The following students were recognized as part of Chantilly's Festival All-Star Band. The All-Star Band recognizes students whose performance stood out to the judges during the ensemble’s performance. Congratulations to: Andrew Ahrens, Hannah Mangan, William Norris, Logan Haworth, & Joah Markwood!

We are so proud of the hard work, dedication, and musicianship our students continue to demonstrate!

1. Reminder: Our monthly Band Booster meeting will be tomorrow night, Monday, May 4th, at 7:00 p.m. in the band room. 😎

2. Sherando Band Orientation Night for the 2026-2027 school year is this Wednesday, May 6, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the auditorium. This is a mandatory orientation for all new and returning band students and a parent/guardian. Registration and paperwork for the upcoming school year will be completed that evening, and LOTS of information will be shared about band fees, band camp, schedules, fundraising, and much more!

PLUS - Our fall 2026 marching show and 2027 spring trip location will be revealed!

Huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our 9th annual Touch-a-Truck event today! We are incredibly grateful for the amazing turnout and all the support from our community. It was such a joy to see everyone exploring the trucks, motorcycles, helicopter, and more up close. The student performances were truly unforgettable and a highlight of the day.

A special thank you to our food vendors for providing such delicious treats, and to every participant, volunteer, and supporter who helped make this event possible. Your time, energy, and generosity mean so much to us. We are deeply appreciative of everyone who came out to support and help us raise funds for the band. We couldn’t do it without you!
