Before summer officially begins, a few important reminders for families:

✅ Monday, June 15, follows the normal Wednesday late-start schedule
✅ Tuesday, June 16, is the last day of school (elementary schools: 9-11 a.m. and secondary schools: 7:40-9:40 a.m.)
✅ School offices close to the public on Thursday, June 18

A well deserved award for Mr. Bletscher! We are grateful for your dedication in helping students learn to love music.

The Stanwood-Camano School Board on Tuesday recognized four exceptional staff members as our 2026 Employees of the Year.

Port Susan Middle School music teacher Johnathan Bletcher was named Certificated Employee of the Year for inspiring students, fostering growth, and building a music program rooted in encouragement and high expectations.

Bus drivers April Nickerson, Heather Stensaa, and Lauren Tatarian were recognized as Classified Employees of the Year for their professionalism, care, leadership, and commitment to helping students feel safe, known, and valued.

These honorees represent the very best of the many outstanding employees who serve our students and families every day.

Summer will be here before we know it, and we're already planning ways to help keep children fed while school is out.

We are once again offering free summer meals for all children ages 18 and younger at Twin City Elementary and Stanwood High School. No registration or paperwork is required.

Twin City Elementary — Monday-Friday June 29-August 21
• Breakfast: 8:30-9:30 a.m.
• Lunch: 10:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m.

Stanwood High School — Monday-Thursday July 27-August 20
• Lunch: 10:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m.

Families may also qualify for SUN Bucks grocery benefits, and additional food support is available through the Stanwood-Camano Food Bank's Meals 'Til Monday program.
