Brighter futures start together!

Every year, the Stanwood-Camano Community Scholarship Program helps open doors to brighter futures by awarding more than 250 scholarships to graduating seniors and adult learners pursuing higher education, career training, and certifications.

These scholarships are a powerful reminder of what happens when community generosity meets community need.

You can help create the next opportunity! By establishing a scholarship fund, you can make education more accessible and invest in the dreams and futures of local students and adult learners.

New scholarship funds must be established by December 1st to be included in the 2027 scholarship cycles.

Ready to make a lasting difference?

Together, we're investing in brighter futures right here in Stanwood-Camano!

We're excited to welcome Kirsti Daniels to the SCAF team as our new Communications & Marketing Specialist!

Kirsti, her husband, and their two children (Phoebe, a junior at SHS, and Jacob, a senior in ROTC at CWU) moved to Stanwood in 2015 and have loved calling this community home ever since!

Over the past decade, Kirsti has been actively involved in local schools through the PTA, working in the Stanwood-Camano School District, and serving as Chair of YES! for Stanwood-Camano Schools. She also partners with J. Marie & Associates, helping school districts across Washington with communications and community engagement.

Outside of work, Kirsti enjoys staying connected to the community by volunteering with the School District, the SHS Theatre Department, and Warm Beach Horsemanship. She is also involved at Warm Beach Free Methodist Church.

Kirsti's Why ❤️

For the past decade, Kirsti has been passionate about encouraging community investment in local schools because she believes strong schools help build strong communities.

Kirsti is excited to bring her passion for community engagement to SCAF, sharing the stories of local people and organizations while inspiring others to connect, give back, and strengthen Stanwood-Camano!

We love partnering with our community to strengthen volunteerism and support our local nonprofits! 💙

This year, we tried something new! Instead of hosting our traditional Volunteer Fair, we invited local nonprofits to come together for a Volunteer Management Workshop focused on learning, sharing ideas, and building connections.

A special thank you to Tori Raiguel from Warm Beach Camp & Conference Center for facilitating such a valuable workshop, and to Walmart Spark Good – Store #3801 for providing the grant funding that made this event possible!

Join us next year on October 20, 2027!

Together, we're helping our local nonprofits grow stronger and continue making a difference in our community! 💙
