This month we caught up with Glazier Chris Neuroth to hear about his experience in the trade.
To me, the best part about being a glazer, is the fellowship. Working on cool projects alongside your friends, looking out for your brothers and sisters and having a common goal. Kinda like that show 'The Office', but outside!
The inspiration, or what actually motivated me to become a glazier was being young, newly married and having a child on the way, I mean, I wanted to be Billy Idol, but since that gig was taken, I thought that becoming a member of Glaziers LU 513 was a great opportunity to support my family. My dad made me cut my hair twice before I applied.
Some of the projects that stick in my mind: TWA Dome, Ameristar Hotel, the slope wall at Crown Hotel , the remodel at the Gateway Arch museum and the Edward Jones campus on olive at 270, where during my capacity as a fire watch, we reported zero fires. Also, any job that I was lucky enough to work with my dad!
