Happy Labor Day!

Today we recognize the hard work and sacrifices made by our brothers and sisters of Local 88.

We want to thank you for keeping our communities fed and allowing all of us to provide for our families. Your skills, expertise, and solidarity is the strength behind our Union, building better workplaces for everyone.

Thank you for everything you do and we hope you all have a fun and safe Labor Day. And always remember, non of this would have been possible without YOU!

Last month, five of our members volunteered to participate in the UFCW Union PowerCamp, which gives union workers the tools and education needed to strengthen our Local.

PowerCamp attendees were able to learn more about the history of UFCW, union organizing, collective bargaining, and how we can encourage more of our members to participate so that their voices are truly heard.

Thank you to our members who attended: Jesse Gross, Danyelle Pruitt, Theresa Schnur, Brian Sprague, and Katie Warmann.

Your new skills and insights are valuable and will continue to make our Union Stronger than ever!

Support Union Workers this Labor Day weekend! ✊

Labor Day is better celebrated together! If you are firing up the grill this weekend, you may as well make your Labor Day celebrations union-made.

From hot dogs and burgers to all the best fixings and drinks, buying union-made goods supports the hardworking people we celebrate today.

We are excited to announce that we are partnering with Dignity Drawers to provide free menstrual products to all who are in need.
All of our products have been donated by our AMAZING MEMBERS who are proving that when we come together as a community, we can do truly incredible things.
If you or anyone you know is in need of tampons, pads, or other period and hygiene products, please come down to our Union Hall so we can support this vitally important initiative aptly named DIGNITY DRAWERS!

Knowledge is POWER!

When we have a deep understanding of solidarity and what it means to be a Union Steward, we are better able to help our members and create a unified workplace where workers are truly empowered to stand up for our rights and stop unfair practices from management.

Tonight's general membership and Board of Audit meeting will begin at 5 PM. This will be the largest meeting we have ever held with a ton of new information, exciting partnerships, and new health and welfare information. If you make only one meeting all year this is the one to attend!!! We ask all of those attending, if possible, to please bring female hygiene products (pads, tampons etc.) as a donation for one of our new partnerships!!!!! We are also going to attempt to live stream the meeting thru the new UFCW Local 88 App as well. We cannot wait to see everybody this evening!!!!
