There’s a lot that comes with this line of work that people don’t always talk about. Stress, pressure, long days that wear on you over time. For a long time, the expectation has been to keep it to yourself and push through it.

That’s changed. More people are speaking up, checking in, and having real conversations about what they’re dealing with. And that matters.

MKLDC Business Manager Brandon Flinn welcomed Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe, Google President and Chief Investment Officer Ruth Porat, and industry leaders to the Missouri Laborers Training School as we highlighted the future of workforce development in Missouri.

Visitors had the opportunity to see our state-of-the-art training campus, where apprentices and experienced members alike receive the skills and certifications needed to meet the demands of a rapidly growing industry.

LIUNA VP David Frye, MO LECET Director Scott Hughes, and Training School Executive Director Josh Wright spoke about the critical role labor-management partnerships play in building a highly trained workforce ready for major investments and economic growth.

The Laborers are proud to be preparing the workforce that will help build Missouri’s future for decades to come.

Building America’s future takes skilled union labor. Data centers mean family-sustaining careers, apprenticeship opportunities, and long-term investment in our communities. We’re proud to stand with projects that create real jobs for working people.
