Join the Dutchtown Opportunity Coalition for Youth at Read A Book STL this Thursday, June 18th! Browse the collection of books just for young adults, find something unique on your favorite subject, or let something brand new catch your eye!

We'll have free snacks, drinks, and giveaways too!

Our current Green Jobs cohort visited the fantastic Lavender Garden in the College Hill neighborhood this week! We were greeted by Vaughn, a recent Green Jobs training graduate who has now been hired to work at the farm! This is the type of community partnership we live for, and we are so proud of Vaughn for this great accomplishment!

We are excited to start another 8-week PAID Green Jobs training cohort this week, and this program has become so popular that we had to host 2 tryout sessions! As usual, the incomparable Rosie L. Willis served as our tryout facilitator and put the candidates to work while educating them on the benefits of gardening.

It's summer break, and Dutchtown Opportunity Coalition for Youth has plans for South Side young people this summer!

Join us on Saturday, June 13th, at Marquette Park for free food, attendance prizes, games, and music! We'll also have info about more upcoming youth events, summer job opportunities, and tons of resources for young people ages 10–17 in Dutchtown, Gravois Park, Mount Pleasant, and Marine Villa.

Over 30 amazing volunteers from Washington University in St. Louis’s Advancement Department recently joined us to help us clean and organize our headquarters this week. They also attended our latest World of Work graduation ceremony and cheered on our clients as they achieved this great milestone!
