Today, The Oxygen Project honors and celebrates Juneteenth — a day of freedom, remembrance, resilience, and reflection.

As an organization committed to expanding access to healing-centered yoga, mindfulness, and wellness practices for youth, we recognize that rest is a form of resistance, restoration, and community care.

In observance of Juneteenth, we will be taking time to rest, reflect, and honor the continued journey toward freedom, equity, and collective healing.

May this day remind us of the importance of creating spaces where young people can breathe, feel seen, and thrive.

Happy Pride Month from The Oxygen Project! 🌈

This month, we honor and celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community, including the young people, educators, families, and community members who continue to live boldly, advocate for equity, and create spaces rooted in love, belonging, and authenticity.

At The Oxygen Project, we believe every young person deserves access to safe, supportive, and affirming spaces where they can breathe, heal, grow, and be fully themselves. Pride Month is a reminder that wellness, mindfulness, and community care must include and uplift all identities.

We celebrate Pride today and every day. 💛

4 Ways to Keep Youth Engaged with Mindfulness & Breathing

1. Start with short practices: 1–3 minutes of breathing or quiet reflection.
2. Use visuals: bubbles, feathers, or hand breathing to make breathing concrete.
3. Connect mindfulness to emotions: ask, “What does your body feel like right now?”
4. Make it routine: begin or end class, programs, or meetings with a grounding breath.
