Before 'Sweetie' was an episode, it was a porch, a neighborhood, and a woman who decided no child should walk away hungry.

Next week, we’ll celebrate the work of Champale Greene-Anderson with the re-release of our episode 'Sweetie'—a story rooted in the ongoing impact of Champ’s Teardrops and the power of showing up for children and families in North St. Louis, every single day.

This Thursday, we will relaunch one of our most impactful stories.

In the United States, 1 in 6 children experiences food insecurity. That’s millions of kids who don’t always know where their next meal will come from.

'Sweetie' is a story about what it looks like when someone sees that reality up close and chooses to show up.

In St. Louis, one mom is quietly doing something incredible — every day, she prepares over 100 free lunch bags for kids in her neighborhood.

She says any child who’s hungry can simply knock on her door, no questions asked.

What began as a small act of kindness — starting with around 25 lunches a day — has grown into something much bigger. Now, it’s become her full-time mission to make sure kids don’t go without food.

One bag at a time, she’s helping fight hunger right where she lives. ❤️
