Shelter Friends is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
animal welfare organization.

We are not a rescue group; we are an animal-welfare group whose purpose is to work directly with animals in MO, IL and AR and to help them find placement in safe, no-kill shelters or rescue groups. We do so by raising money to pay veterinary bills to help stray or injured animals get into no-kill rescues or shelters, by providing pledge money for the same, and by providing guidance and help to the public on how to find a safe, no-kill option for their pets.

😿PLEASE don't make me put SHADY in a cage at Petsmart!😿

This amazingly, loving cat would love to be the only princess in your house!

Do you live in an apartment where you can only have one pet? Do you want to own only one cat?

Well, this is the girl for you! She LOVES, LOVES, LOVES people and will be your constant companion, walking right alongside of you, but she is not fond of other kitties.

She is also the tidiest cat I've ever fostered! She never spills her food or her water; very little litter, if any, ever gets outside of the box; her room is the cleanest room I've ever had with a foster cat in it, so she basically cleans up after herself! PURRFECT for a small house or apartment!

She is only 1.5 yrs old and fully vetted! FIV/FELV negative, spayed, chipped, current on shots, she is ready to go!

If SHADY sounds like your kind of girl, please fill out our little application form:
