🚨🚨🚨PLEASE HELP US HELP LOLLIE!!🚨🚨🚨

LOLLIE is a former St. Charles City Animal Control dog that was pulled by Stepping Stone Bully Rescue waaaaay back when Shelter Friends, Inc. was still associated with them.

As you can see, LOLLIE is now an old lady and needs our help. Her rescue has fallen on hard times and she is losing weight and has rampant diarrhea and needs bloodwork, xrays and an exam. We estimate all of this to cost about $500.

Since she is a dog we were formerly associated with (we asked Stepping Stone Bully Rescue to pull her), we cannot turn our backs (not that we would anyway; we help lots of senior doggies), but any money raised on this post will go towards her specific vet bill, since PP does not pay out for at least a month and this dog needs help now!! So, Shelter Friends will front the money this week for her to be seen and if by any chance we raise more than $500, we will put the rest towards her care also.

We DESPERATELY need a good home for this girl. She can be very cat like, meaning she likes her boundaries, but can also be a lover! She just needs someone to love her like she deserves and I need the room in my home so i can take in more needy cats. PLEASE reach out with any questions!

😻😻😻ANOTHER HUGE thank you to some amazing women who drove like a combined 8 hours yesterday to get these 6 kitties to their rescues!!

Naomi Sexauer, Gabby Goddard and Teresa A-Super all drove hours to get my momma cat and her 4 babies from Poplar Bluff to their awesome rescue with Nicole Uebel at 4 Paws 4 Rescue and this little 2-week-old kitten who has 2 twisted front legs to the also-awesome Sharon Maag with Snuggle Rescue Group!!

I always say it takes a village and yesterday these ladies came thru for us in a BIG way! We are so very grateful to them for sacrificing their time to make sure these precious kitties made it to their respective rescues! 🚗🚗🚗

IT'S BEEN A CRAZY few days here at Shelter Friends, Inc. and I'm way behind on posting!

First off, HUGE thanks to the amazing Jeff for catching this very injured duck at Chapter One condos, along with help from Karen DeLisle Hotfelder and the awesome Katie Bush, who also transported this beauty to the Wildlife Rescue Center in Ballwin and made it back in time to host her hubby's birthday party!! ❤🦆❤️How nice was that of her??

Unfortunately we do not have an update yet on the status of this mallard, but hope to get one sometime today. Thanks, everyone, who helped this poor injured duckie!

WE HAVE A 1-pounder today!!

My littlest runt Rugrat finally broke 1 lb this morning!

This is the one I had to syringe feed for a couple of days before she started eating on her own! I am so very proud of her! She's in there fighting for her food with all the big girls!

The runts are always my favorites cuz they have the odds stacked against them. But I believe she is a survivor! 😻

And HUGE thanks to Alexandria Stroup and Caped Crusaders Cat Rescue for taking him in and saving his life, because he had nowhere else to go. She truly saved his life.😿😿😿

WELL, the hits just keep on comin' ...

Yesterday I found out that the Rugrats' f***l came back positive for roundworms and giardia.

No big deal on the roundworms, I had already generally dewormed them the first day they got here anyway, but the giardia is the bigger problem. Since they are already on the Itrafungol for their ringworm, I can't put them on two strong drugs at the same time, so they have to wait until next week, their off week from the Itrafungol, before they can even begin their meds for the giardia.

So, now their little systems aren't even going to get the one-week break that they so desperately needed next week. 😞 😞 😞
