Exploring the Library, One Book at a Time

Emmaus staff recently went with several clients on an enjoyable trip to the local library, where they spent the afternoon reading, exploring, and discovering new books. While it is always fun to get into the community, reading also offers an opportunity to visit new places and enjoy new adventures through stories. The outing was a wonderful opportunity for learning, imagination, and meaningful time together.

Game Day Dreams Come True

It is fall, which means football season is in full swing, and one Emmaus client recently had the chance to experience it in an unforgettable way. A lifelong Kansas City Chiefs fan, he traveled to Kansas City to attend his very first NFL game, where he watched the Chiefs defeat the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football, received a commemorative first-game certificate, collected souvenirs, and even met a couple of cheerleaders. To top it all off, he witnessed the incredible sight and sound of a stealth bomber flyover after the national anthem, making it a game day he will always remember.

Our United Way of Greater St. Louis Community Campaign is underway, and Emmaus is proud to be part of something that makes a difference across our region! We’re kicking off our internal campaign with the Emmaus Employee Chili Cook-Off, bringing team members and clients together for a fun day of food, friendly competition, and support for our community.

By supporting United Way of Greater St. Louis, more than 150 local nonprofits with the funding, training, and leadership they need to serve our neighbors every day. Together, we help impact more than 1 million people each year.

Emmaus staff and clients enjoyed a wonderful day at this year’s event hosted by St. John’s UCC at Veterans Tribute Park in St. Charles. With beautiful weather, delicious food, and great company, everyone had the opportunity to relax, connect, and share memorable moments together.
