SCDC is celebrating this day of emancipation, knowing it was only the starting point. The past 161 years have had their continued adversities in the battle for equity. The generations of protesters demand our respect and appreciation for the progress made thus far, but our community requires our support to continue to diminish the inequalities faced by our BIPOC community.
SCDC stands with our marginalized skaters and neighbors.

Gory is the player who skates onto the track and causes the other team to immediately revise their defensive plan. Whether as a jammer or a blocker, Gory finds a way through your pack, so we hope you're in derby stance.

Off the track, Gory is a creative, supportive teammate that always has your back and maybe a handmade keychain to give you too. ❤️🖤

Very Happy Birthday to Melons! 🍈🍈

Melons will skirt on over to knock you down, but can also nurse you back to health.

She is a force to be reckoned with, both on and off the track. When she's not playing derby, you can find her cycling, running marathons, on the ice with her hockey team, or collecting donations for her community.

Growing up with a house full of siblings has thoroughly prepared her to handle whatever nonsense our team gets into. We're so glad to have you as a teammate, Melons!

SCDC is taking a moment to acknowledge the helpers on our team. While our nurses, teachers, and administrative professionals deserve more than a week (and probably a raise), we will take the excuse to give them this shout out.

Hopefully derby is the outlet your soul needs to replenish your patience and compassion for others, or maybe it's the perfect threat to keep anyone that walks up to your desk in line. Either way, just know that you are appreciated!

Happy birthday to Kate! She is an up and coming skater whose derby skills have come so far in less than a year that we can't wait to see her in an SCDC jersey in a future bout! Off skates, Kate's cosplay game is on point and so is her quiet but sarcastic personality.
We hope your birthday includes time to play Cyberpunk or stream Arcane, a smooth drink to enjoy, and no sauerkraut.

In the whirlwind of back-to-back weekends, we forgot to share our gratitude to SIRG for coming out to play this month! We had a blast hosting them in St. Charles, meeting their newest skaters, and absolutely loved the comraderie of a dual-team off-skates warmup. ❤️🖤💛

Thank you to SIRG, and to all of our officials and volunteers who kept everything on track. We couldn't do it without you!
