🎀 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month for People AND Pets! 🐾
Breast cancer awareness isn’t just important for us but also our pets they too can develop mammary tumors. This October, MACA encourages everyone to learn the signs, pay attention to changes, and talk with your doctor or veterinarian about prevention and early detection.
🐶🐱 For our pets, routine veterinary care and discussing the appropriate time to spay can play an important role in reducing the risk of mammary cancer.
🎀 Early detection matters. Regularly check your pets for unusual lumps, swelling, or changes around the mammary glands, and have anything concerning examined by a veterinarian.
Whether they have two legs or four paws, the ones we love are worth looking out for. 💗

🐾 THANK YOU TO EVERYONE INVOLVED IN THIS RESCUE!🐾

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to every person and agency who played a part in this rescue. It takes teamwork, compassion, and people willing to step up to make a difference.

This is why we do what we do to help animals who cannot help themselves and to be their voice when they need us the most. ❤️

This is also an important reminder: If you see something, say something. Speaking up when you see an animal being neglected, abused, or in danger can truly save a life.

Thank you to everyone who spoke up, responded, assisted, and helped give these animals the chance they deserved.

Their lives matter, and your voice can make a difference.

🎉 THANK YOU FOR AN AMAZING CONFERENCE! 🎉

We want to extend our sincerest appreciation to everyone who attended this year’s MACA Annual Conference! Your participation, enthusiasm, and dedication are what make our conference—and our association—so special.

We know attending a conference means taking time away from your families, communities, agencies, and busy schedules. We truly appreciate you choosing to spend that time with MACA. Your willingness to learn, share experiences, build connections, and support one another strengthens the animal control profession throughout Missouri. 🐾

Whether this was your first MACA Conference or you’ve been joining us for years, thank you for being part of the MACA family. We couldn’t do what we do without our incredible members and attendees.

We hope you left with new knowledge, new connections, great memories, and excitement for what’s ahead.

🌊 We can’t wait to welcome you back next year at the Lake of the Ozarks!

Thank you for making this year’s conference one to remember. See you in 2027! 💙🧡
