🚨 We need your help with our medical babies. 🚨
We don't usually make posts asking for donations toward individual medical cases. We just do what needs to be done and figure everything else out along the way. But if we're being completely honest, this year has been really hard on us, and we're struggling.
And right now, we have several babies who need us.

Just when we thought sweet Momma Boogie was settling into life with her babies, she had an emergency. Boogie suddenly began vomiting. Her temperature was dangerously low, and she became extremely lethargic. We rushed her to VSS, where she spent the night undergoing diagnostic testing to figure out what was happening and receiving treatment to help stabilize her.
The answer was something called an intussusception. This happens when one portion of the intestine slides inside another portion of the intestine, essentially causing the bowel to become telescoped into itself. It can cut off blood flow and cause a life-threatening intestinal blockage, making it a true emergency.
Boogie needed surgery.
She was taken into surgery yesterday, and thankfully, she is recovering well. ❤️‍🩹 She is still in the hospital being closely monitored, but we are so thankful she made it through surgery and is on the road to recovery.
The estimated cost of Boogie's care alone is $4,900.

And Boogie isn't our only medical baby right now.
Our sweet little Dozer was just released from VSS today after spending two nights in the hospital for hypoglycemia. Another little life that needed intensive care, monitoring and treatment.

These are the cases that SNUGGLE exists for. The tiny, fragile, complicated babies who don't have anywhere else to go. We will never give up on them. This is what we do. We will keep showing up, keep fighting, and keep doing everything we can to give these babies the chance they deserve.

But we can't do it without you.
If you're able, please consider making a donation toward our medical care fund. It doesn't have to be a lot. $5, $10, $20 — every single dollar adds up and helps us continue saying yes when a baby needs us most.

Donations can be made through our website:
snugglepetrescue.org
Under the “Want to make a donation” section.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who has supported SNUGGLE, shared our posts, donated, fostered, volunteered, prayed, or simply followed along with these babies.
We truly couldn't do this without you.
Please keep Momma Boogie and Dozer in your thoughts as they continue to heal. ❤️‍🩹

Welcome to SNUGGLE, little ones!
These two tiny newcomers found themselves in a pretty unexpected place — on a piece of plywood at a Hoods store.
The employees looked around for their mom, but with the constant noise, busy surroundings, and dangerous equipment in the area, they knew these babies needed to be somewhere safer. So they reached out for help, and these two made their way to us! They’ve settled in nicely and, thankfully, are doing well! They’re getting plenty of warmth, care, milk, and attention while they adjust to their new surroundings.
For now, their names are still undecided! We’re working on finding the perfect ones for these little faces, and we’ll share them with everyone as soon as the decision is made.
Welcome to the SNUGGLE family, sweet babies.

Grogu 💙
Who has lovingly been nicknamed Grogie Pierogi, has come a very long way!
When Grogu first came into rescue, he had twisted front legs, pectus excavatum, and a significant overbite. We weren’t sure exactly how everything would develop as he grew, but this boy has continued to surprise us. As he’s gotten bigger, so many of his physical differences have naturally started to correct themselves.
When he was younger, Grogu also received some physical therapy to help straighten his front legs and WOW, what a difference it made! Today, he can run, climb, play, and get into kitten mischief just like anyone else. You’d never know how much he’s overcome by watching him zoom around.
And his personality? Just as wonderful as his progress. 🥹
Grogu is incredibly sweet and absolutely loves his people. He’s happiest being held and cuddled, and one of his favorite places to sleep is curled up in his foster parents’ legs. But don’t let that sweet face fool you! This boy is also wonderfully silly. His signature move is what his foster family calls his “crab walk,” and it never gets old.
Our handsome boy just hit the 2-pound mark so Once he receives his second vaccines, he’ll be ready to start looking for his forever family.
We couldn’t be more proud of how far our little Grogie Pierogi has come. If you’d like to meet this incredibly sweet, silly, handsome boy, please message us!

A Little Caliber, Mace & Lance Update !

It’s hard to believe Caliber, Mace, and Lance have already been with us for a couple of weeks. Very early on when they first arrived, they also had a sister named Katana. We sadly lost her when she was just a few days old, which put their foster mom on high alert. Thankfully, these 3 have remained strong and determined! Like so many babies that come into our rescue, they were abandoned by their mother at just a few days old.
Now at about 6 weeks old, every day brings something new with these three! They’re becoming more comfortable, more curious, and much more confident in their surroundings. The little quirks that make each of them different are starting to show, and their foster mom is soaking it up!

These cuties still have plenty of growing and learning ahead of them, but they’re making their way through it one day at a time. We’re so happy they landed safely in rescue and that we get to be part of their story.
If you'd like to meet these cuties and add them to your family, message us!

PECAN & PYRO ARE READY TO FIND THEIR PEOPLE!

Some kittens just have a way of making you slow down and smile and this brother sister pair are those kittens. These two little ones are gentle, affectionate, and incredibly sweet.
We would love to see Pecan and Pyro adopted together. They make a wonderful little pair, and there’s something pretty special about getting to watch two sibilings grow up side by side. They’re ready for a family who will give them all the love, attention, playtime, and cozy naps they deserve.
If you think Pecan and Pyro might be the missing pieces to your family, please message us to arrange a meet and greet with these two sweet babies!

Return Their Hair, Please!
We have a few little very fashionable patients currently battling ringworm… and as you can see, they’ve decided to donate their hair to the cause. 😂
These babies are under treatment and getting everything they need to kick ringworm to the curb. They may be a little light on the fur right now, but they’re still absolutely adorable and we’re hoping their hair pieces will be returned very soon, but fighting ringworm is a marathon, not a sprint. These kittens will need weeks of dedicated care. Treatment usually involves an oral medication but these guys are not big enough and the vet does not feel it's safe yet. They are getting topical therapy - medicated baths and mousse to kill the spores on their fur. It's a lot for these little sweethearts, but we are committed to seeing them through to a full, fluffy recovery. They're already starting to show their spunky personalities, and we're cheering them on every step of the way! Ringworm can be stubborn, but with proper treatment, patience, and lots of TLC, these little ones will be back to their fluffy selves before long.
If you’d like to help with the cost of their care, we would be incredibly grateful! Every donation helps us continue caring for kittens like these.

Rengar & Thomas Tamale Update! 🐾
Remember these two little fighters? They came to us with some pretty serious challenges, but we are SO happy to say that they are both doing fantastically!

Thomas Tamale came into rescue unable to walk or even sit up. We suspected head trauma or some other type of trauma. He was also severely anemic from the massive flea burden he had when he was found. That first week was tough. He couldn't—or simply didn't—move much, so we brought him to the litterbox (and somehow, this little guy already knew exactly what to do) and carried his food and water right to him.
It took about two weeks for Tamale to really turn the corner, but once he did, WOW! Look at him now! He's up, running around like a completely normal kitten, playing, exploring and being the absolute sweetheart we knew was in there all along!

And then there's Rengar, our brave little girl who came to us with a horribly injured eye that ultimately needed to be removed. She was initially far too small and underweight for surgery, so we had to spend weeks getting her strong enough to safely undergo the procedure.
Her eye has healed beautifully, and Rengar has apparently decided that having one less eye is certainly NOT going to slow her down! This girl is a WILD WOMAN! Her favorite hobbies include Parkouring all over the house, wrestling with her stepbrother Tamale, causing general kitten chaos, and then stopping for some much-needed love from her foster parents.
These two are growing like weeds and are just about ready for their forever homes! And honestly, if you're looking for a pair who will provide endless laughs, plenty of "WHAT just happened?!" moments, nonstop kitten antics, and the sweetest cuddles, Rengar and Tamale might be exactly what you're looking for.
They would make an absolutely amazing addition to a family, and we promise, you won't regret giving these two goofy babies a chance. 🥰 Please share these cuties!
If you're interested in meeting Rengar & Tamale, send us a message! We would love to introduce you to this incredible duo!

Please help us welcome sweet Momma Boogie and her seven tiny babies: Piper, Phoebe, Page, Leo, Wyatt, Chris, and Cole.

This little family came to us after being found in distress. Most of the time when tiny kittens end up in rescue, it's because something terrible has happened to their mom. Sometimes a mom is injured or killed, and her babies are left orphaned. Other times, a mother may abandon her kittens because she is too young, overwhelmed, stressed, sick, or simply unable to care for them. There are so many reasons a mom may leave her babies behind.

But in Boogie's case, she was still there. She was trying her very best to care for her babies, but unfortunately, wildlife had discovered the kittens and was getting to them. After losing three of her babies, the good Samaritan who found them knew they couldn't allow it to continue and reached out to us for help.
Whenever possible, kittens have the very best chance at survival with their mom, so we were incredibly thankful that Boogie was still around and that we could bring this little family to safety together.

Taking in a stray or street mom with babies can be a challenge. Mommas can be understandably scared, defensive, and even aggressive when they feel their babies are in danger. They don't know that we're there to help. They only know that someone is approaching their kittens.

Thankfully, Boogie is none of those things. ❤️
This sweet girl is affectionate, gentle, and absolutely devoted to her babies. She's doing an amazing job caring for them, despite having only one good-working ni**le. And somehow, she's making it work! Her babies have fat little bellies and are gaining weight and growing just as they should.

Sadly, we lost little Cole just a few days after arriving. We aren't sure why. Sometimes, despite everything we do and all the care these fragile babies receive, we lose one. We wish we could have changed the outcome for him, but we're grateful he was warm, loved, and cared for during his short time with us.

For now, Piper, Phoebe, Page, Leo, Wyatt, and Chris are perfectly content to spend their days doing what newborn kittens do best! Eating, sleeping, and piling on top of each other in the warmest kitten pile they can create. Soon those tiny legs will start working, and they'll be wobbling, crawling, climbing, and eventually getting into everything. But for now, we'll happily enjoy this peaceful stage and let Momma Boogie continue doing what she does best: being the loving mama her babies need.

Welcome to SNUGGLE, Boogie and babies!
