June is , and it's not weak to speak, but stigma keeps too many men from reaching out.

According to SAMHSA, in 2024, only 42% of men with a mental illness received treatment. Men are also nearly four times more likely to die by su***de than women. That silence has consequences.

You can help change that. Check in with the men in your life, share mental health resources, and help create spaces where it's okay to talk.

Did you know more teens try alcohol, ma*****na, and ci******es for the first time in June and July than any other month?

Less structure and less supervision during summer break create a real window of risk, but connection and conversation make a difference.

Happy ! 🌈 At Prevention First, we know that prevention works best when it meets people where they're at.

This June, we're reflecting on what that really means for LGBTQ+ communities, who face significantly higher rates of substance use and mental health challenges when the spaces around them fall short of full inclusion and affirmation.

Prevention is for everyone. Throughout the month, we'll be sharing resources, trainings, and tools to help build the knowledge and practices that support LGBTQ+ individuals in prevention and across the continuum of care. Stay tuned!
