Join us June 24th for Frameworks for Fearless Dialogue, a free learning session designed to give you real tools for navigating the hard conversations with confidence (and without the stomach knot).

Speaker Becky Gabany of ChangeBridge Consulting will walk through why our bodies react the way they do to conflict, why we avoid tough topics, and practical frameworks to actually get through them.

Know someone who loves people, programs, and purpose?

We're searching for a Volunteer & Program Coordinator to join the UWCIL team. This person will help recruit and steward volunteers, coordinate signature initiatives like Day of Action and Student United Way, and support community impact programs serving our neighbors who are working hard but still struggling to make ends meet.

Full-time position based in Springfield.

Volunteer Spotlight: Pat Metz

Some people talk about giving back. Pat Metz just shows up- year after year, project after project.

Pat is a retiree who has been volunteering with United Way for over 10 years, lending his time to organizations across our community including Senior Services of Central Illinois, Sojourn Shelter, The Outlet, Helping Hands, MERCY Communities, Friends of Sangamon Valley, and more. He's also been a Day of Action staple for 13+ years running!

What makes Pat so special? He's always ready. Whether it's a planned project or a last-minute call for help, Pat is one of the first to say yes- and he genuinely loves doing it.
