Children's Transplant Initiative (CTI) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded by Ross and Cheryl Witty.

Their daughter, Kimmy received a kidney transplant from her dad in 2011. "When our journey began, our doctors made sure we knew exactly what to expect with regards to the transplant procedure, recovery and aftercare. What we didn't have was someone to tell us how it would impact all other aspects of our lives. CTI was created to provide education, guidance and support to the families of children g

This month, our Caregiver Space is looking a little different — and we’re excited about it! 💚

We’re teaming up with Transplant Teenz for a special Parentz Meeting created specifically for parents and caregivers of transplant teens.

The teenage years bring a whole new set of challenges — independence, medications, school, friendships, preparing for the future, and figuring out how to support your teen without hovering too much. 😅 And sometimes, it just helps to talk with other parents who get it.

Join us Tuesday, August 25 at 7:00 PM CST via Zoom for an evening of connection, support, practical resources, and open conversation as we kick off the next Transplant Teenz CONNECT season.

Today we're pausing to say thank you — from the bottom of our hearts.

Every year on August 13, World Organ Donation Day reminds us of both how far medical science has come and how much work is left to do.

The date honors a monumental moment in healthcare: Dr. Christiaan Barnard’s groundbreaking 1967 heart transplant. But more than a historical milestone, today is a vital reminder of the thousands of men, women, and children currently waiting for a life-saving match.

The gap between those in need of a transplant and the organs available is still vast. Every single day, lives are lost simply because time ran out.

World Organ Donation Day exists to break the silence around organ shortage. It is a day to reflect on the profound gift of life, honor the generosity of donors and their families, and keep hope alive for everyone still waiting on a call. 💚
