The Senior Citizen Appreciation Luncheon will be held on Thursday, May 28th from 11 am to 2 pm. Guest presenters will include Ismail Lane, CHW, HHA (Contractor) with the Virginia Department of Health, Tina Younger with Super Patch. Bessie Barbour with Mary Kay will arrive by 9 am for anyone interested in facials, product samples, and more. Lunch will be provided by the Womack Sisters.
All seniors are welcome to attend.

Sentara is extended sincere gratitude for the Community Care nurses and Chaplain Vance Midgett, who devoted time to impart valuable insights to seniors at the Monthly Senior Citizen Appreciation Luncheon. Chaplain Midgett provided crucial guidance on advance planning, ensuring healthcare preferences are respected and clearly understood. Attendees gained knowledge on several key topics, including the significance of advance care planning, communicating healthcare wishes in advance, distinguishing between a living will and healthcare power of attorney, initiating discussions with family members about these critical decisions, and the steps necessary to finalize one's advance care plan. Appreciation is also expressed to Vee Mosby for her informative presentation on Medicare.

The Senior Citizen Appreciation Luncheon will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026 from 11 am to 2 pm. Guest presenter will be Vee Mosby with Maximus Insurance. We will also have representatives from Sentara Community Care doing blood pressure checks, etc. Come join us at the TJM Community Center (1011 Cluster Springs School Road, South Boston, VA 24592) for helpful information, food, and games. All seniors are welcome.
