Get ready for an evening of music, dancing, good food, and plenty of country fun with DJ Bobby Guy!

The TJM Community Center invites you to join us for our Senior Citizen Appreciation Luncheon on Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

💕 Breast Cancer Awareness: We are blessed to welcome Deborah Barksdale, a breast cancer survivor, who will share her story and words of encouragement.
💄 Mary Kay Representatives: We are excited to have Mary Kay representatives, Bessie Barbour and Andrea Clauden join us for this special occasion. We may also have some surprise guests.
👗 Pink Fashion Show: Come out and enjoy our special pink fashion show!
🌸 Calling All Models! If you would like to participate in the fashion show, please wear your pink and join the fun!
🍽️ Meal Sponsor: We extend our sincere appreciation to Bessie Barbour for sponsoring the meal for this special day.

A Heartfelt Thank You!
The TJM Community Center would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation and sincere thanks to everyone who came out and helped make our Senior Citizen Appreciation Luncheon a wonderful and meaningful occasion.
We would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Schacht and the Sentara representatives for taking the time to join us. Dr. Schacht was warmly received by our seniors, who had many important questions and concerns regarding prostate health and awareness. We are especially grateful for the valuable information shared during Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.
We would also like to thank Dennis Witt, Board of Supervisors Member for Election District 4, for attending and representing the Board of Supervisors. We truly appreciate your presence and support.
A very special thank you goes to Vee Mosley and Stephanie who of Maximum Assurance Agency for sharing helpful information about Medicare and answering questions from our seniors.
We also extend our sincere appreciation to Sharon Terry, representing Terry Insurance Group, for being with us and taking the time to answer many questions and provide valuable information to our seniors.
Our heartfelt thanks also go to Sunflower Baptist Church for providing such a delicious meal. Your kindness and generosity helped make the luncheon even more special.
Most importantly, we want to thank all of our wonderful senior citizens who attended. This luncheon was held in your honor, and we are grateful for each and every one of you. Your presence, participation, questions, and fellowship made the day truly special.
Thank you all for your time, your support, your generosity, and your willingness to serve our community. May God continue to bless each of you abundantly.

The Senior Citizen Appreciation Luncheon will be hosting a Prostate Cancer Awareness Education event at the TJM Center on September 24th at 11 am. Dr. Schacht with Sentara Hematology and Oncology will be our speaker. In addition to the educational session, we will be offering free PSA testing for qualifying participants. The Sentara mobile unit will be onsite to perform the lab draws.
The meal is sponsored by Sunflower Baptist Church. Please share this information.
