The Good Samaritan is closed when Halifax Public schools are closed due to inclement weather. Therefore, The Good Samaritan is closed tomorrow, Wednesday, February 19th. Stay warm and safe.

Dear All,

Due to the forecasted rain followed by below freezing temperatures Sunday into Monday, out of caution for our clients and volunteers The Good Samaritan has decided to close on Monday, 20 January.
Clients who have appointments for Monday will be contacted to reschedule.
We are sorry for any inconvenience this decision may cause.

The Good Samaritan is in need of clean and good quality children's and men's coats, beannie's and gloves. If you have any extra to spare and are looking to get rid of them, please consider donating them to The Good Samaritan. We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 until noon to receive donations.

Calling on all those that can help TGS provide food for food baskets for Thanksgiving.
We are in need of the following food items:
Stuffing, corn, green beans, yams, potatoes, cornbread, gravy, cake mix, and frosting

A notice to all of our Dear Clients and visitors to our Clothing Closet -

Asking for your attention to this concern and helping us to eliminate future no-show appointments.

If you make an appointment with The Good Samaritan to shop and you are unable to come in on that day at your appointment time, please call the office @ 434-572-9242 , and let us know so we can fill that appointment slot. We are having quite a few no-shows lately and therefore no one is able to shop during those unfilled times. We have had to institute a new policy that no-shows will have consequences and not get an immediate rescheduled appointment. We don't want this to happen to you!!
Please help us eliminate this problem.
