That’s a wrap on the PETA spay and neuter clinic here in Halifax! 👏👏👏
Today, the amazing PETA team spayed and neutered 39 animals, bringing our two-day total to an INCREDIBLE 105 animals sterilized in our community!!!! That means THOUSANDS of unwanted litters, and potentially tens of thousands of homeless animals over future generations, have now been prevented through these life-changing services!
This clinic also helped some local shelter animals get one step closer to brighter futures. Today, 4 male dogs from the local shelter were pulled and neutered by the team, helping increase their chances for rescue placement and forever homes. These shelter animals were able to participate thanks to the collaboration and support of the wonderful staff at Halifax County Virginia Animal Control 🐾
Over the course of the clinic, we spayed 40 female cats and 21 female dogs, and neutered 29 male cats and 15 male dogs. 🐶🐱
We are BEYOND grateful for the PETA team, their expertise, compassion, and willingness to travel to our small community to help Halifax pets and pet owners. We were truly blessed to have them here, and the impact they made will be felt for years to come.
Thank you to everyone in our community who participated and took this important step toward improving your pets’ health and helping reduce pet overpopulation. Seeing so many responsible and caring pet owners come together has been incredibly heartwarming!
And of course, a huge thank you to our sponsors for helping make this clinic possible:
