At our March Meeting the Dan River Community Ruritan Club Family honored a member whom we lost in 2026 - Earl Satterfield, Jr.

During his time with us, Earl served faithfully and with enthusiasm. He contributed greatly in many roles as Club President and Vice President, and served on the Finance Committee, Building and Grounds Committee, and Stew Committee. Earl stepped forward wherever he was needed. His leadership, kindness, and willingness to work alongside others strengthened our club and our community. The impact of his service continues in the work we do and in the relationships he built. May his memory inspire us to continue serving with kindness, dedication, and goodwill.

Thanks to his famly for coming to spend this time with us as well. We are Ruritan Strong together! Axel wanted to be there but he was at home hanging out with his new family!

At our March Meeting the Dan River Community Ruritan Club Family welcomed Hal McGaughey from Dan River Baptist Church and Randy Johnson from God's Pit Crew to accept a donation from the club to help them with their ongoing projects locally and regionally.
