Have you heard about the Blue Envelope Program?

The Blue Envelope Program is a voluntary tool designed to support individuals with autism during interactions with law enforcement, particularly during traffic stops. It helps create safer, less stressful encounters by giving officers important information about a person’s communication needs.

A blue envelope can hold:
- Driver’s license, registration, and proof of insurance
- A brief explanation that the individual may need additional time or communication accommodations
- Helpful guidance for law enforcement to encourage positive, respectful interactions

This simple tool can help promote understanding, reduce anxiety, and improve communication for everyone involved.

Watch the video to learn more about the Blue Envelope Program and how it can support individuals with autism during interactions with law enforcement.
