We were delighted to attend this event hosted by the South Dakota Community Foundation, and meet the other BIG grant recipients!

Seven nonprofits in the Sioux Falls area received a share of $600,000 in grants on Monday for community-based problem-solving efforts.

So excited to make this announcement! We are beyond humbled to have been chosen as a 2024 Beyond Idea Grant (BIG) recipient by the South Dakota Community Foundation. Winning this grant is going to transform Owen's Outfitters and enable us to reach further across our community and state, provide more medical equipment for free, help more folks just like you, and allow us to GROW.

Thirteen South Dakota nonprofits will receive grants totaling $1.2 million from the South Dakota Community Foundation’s Beyond Idea Grant (BIG) program. Offered in partnership with the Bush Foundation, the BIG program supports community-based problem-solving efforts in South Dakota. This announcement showcases recipients from the 2024 grant selection:

Owen's Outfitters is our biggest program but not our only one! Stay tuned for some fun updates from this year’s Legacy Trip. ☺️

Our President and Co-Founder was honored by SD LEND and The Center for Disabilities of SD with the Patrick L Redinius Award today. This award recognizes former LEND trainees who have continued to work, learn, and advocate for those with disabilities after graduating from the program. Owen’s Outfitters grew from a desire to level the playing field in the healthcare system, so this is truly an honor and humbling to know we are making a difference and being noticed for our efforts. Thank you for the acknowledgment and encouragement. 💕
