From our friends at the Sioux City Parks and Recreation regarding Floyd Blvd.

The City of Sioux City Parks and Recreation Department announces that beginning Monday, August 3, 2026, 46th Street (County Highway D12) will be closed between Floyd Boulevard and
the U.S. Highway 75 on-ramp to accommodate construction of the Sioux City PlyWood Trail. Construction is expected to last approximately four weeks.

During construction hours, the northbound lane of Floyd Boulevard between Cleveland Street and 46th Street will also be closed. The southbound lane will remain open, and flaggers will direct
alternating northbound and southbound traffic through the work zone. Outside of construction hours, both lanes of Floyd Boulevard will remain open.

Signed detour routes will be provided. Traffic wishing to travel eastbound on County Highway D12 will be detoured via southbound Floyd Boulevard, eastbound Outer Drive N, and northbound U.S. Highway 75. Westbound traffic on County Highway D12 traveling to Floyd Boulevard will be detoured via southbound U.S. Highway 75, westbound Outer Drive North, and northbound Lewis Boulevard.

Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes and should expect delays in the area during the construction period.

Leeds neighbors,

National Night Out is this Tuesday, August 4. Although we enjoy hosting the event, unfortunately this year it falls on a date where a large part of the Community Club is either out of town or already committed to other responsibilities. We have had to make the difficult decision to decline our involvement in the project this year. Leeds Park will not be listed as an event site for 2026. However, there are six other locations around town that are hosting the event, and we encourage you to visit those sites instead. We're hoping for a great turnout and good weather for National Night Out and for all the people volunteering to host it, no matter where they are in town! If you do attend the event at one of the other locations, feel free to share pictures in the comments so we can enjoy it from afar!
