Sioux City showed up! đź’š

Playoff hockey took over and things got LOUD.

The IBP Ice Center was absolute chaos in the best way. Packed to the brim. Standing room only. People pressed up against the glass. No seats left. No voices left.

Tailgates outside. Food trucks rolling. Concession lines wrapped. The entire place buzzing before the puck even dropped.

And once it did?
Ear piercing. High energy. Nonstop.

Sioux City showed up for our Muskies and the team felt it. Every hit, every goal, every moment… the crowd was in it.

This wasn’t just a game. This was a full experience.

We saw you. We heard you. And honestly… we’re still recovering.

The following programs will be cancelled this weekend:

Friday, April 10
• Public Skate (7:00–9:00 PM)

Saturday, April 11
• Freestyle Skate (9:30–11:30 AM)
• Learn to Skate (5:30–6:30 PM)
Make-up date: Saturday, May 16 (5:30–6:30 PM)
• Public Skate (7:00–9:00 PM)

Sunday, April 12
• Adult Hockey League (5:30–7:45 PM) is on standby
This will only be cancelled if a Game 3 is needed

Reason for cancellations:
IBP Ice Center is proud to host the first round of the Sioux City Musketeers playoffs. Let’s pack the rink and support the Musketeers.

What a weekend at the Curling Classic! 🎉🥌

A big thank you to our sponsors, Sidner Ice Arena, State Steel and Chesterman Co! We are incredibly grateful for your continued contributions and support of the Curling Classic. We couldn’t do it without you!

We want to take a moment to thank all of the teams who came out and made this year’s tournament at the IBP Ice Center such a fun and unforgettable event. From the first draw to the final stones, the energy all weekend long was incredible.

This year, 24 teams battled it out on the sheets, bringing competition, teamwork, and plenty of personality to the ice.

And to those of you who stayed all day… we saw you 👀
From tailgating in the parking lot, to filling the rink with cheers, to stopping by concessions, you created an atmosphere that made the entire event even more fun. You kept our staff laughing, smiling, and enjoying every minute right along with you.

Honestly, we enjoyed it just as much as you did.

Thank you again to everyone who participated, supported, and showed up. Already looking forward to doing it all again next year.

That’s a wrap on the Curling Classic! 🔥🥌

What a weekend at the IBP Ice Center. The ice was busy, the competition was strong, and the energy did not disappoint.

This year, 24 teams battled it out on the sheets, bringing strategy, teamwork, and just the right amount of chaos to the ice.

🏆 Congratulations to Dirty Pete and the Boys for taking it all!

If you missed it this year, you’ll have to wait until next year to catch the Curling Classic in action… but don’t worry, you can still get in on the fun by joining our Curling League.

A public hearing for the proposed Fiscal Year 2027 Property Tax Levy will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, March 30, 2026 in City Hall Council Chambers, 405 6th Street. The hearing will also be streamed live on YouTube at sioux-city.org/council-live-videos

At the public hearing, any resident or taxpayer may present objections to or arguments in favor of the proposed tax levy. After the hearing of the proposed tax levy, the City Council will publish notice and hold a hearing on the proposed City budget.
