🏆 🏆 🏆 At last nights' Simsbury High School Senior Awards Night:
"Freemasons strive to be men of good character - committed to self-improvement and to making a positive difference in the lives of others. We encourage one another to be better husbands, fathers, neighbors, and citizens.
One man who embodied those values was Paul D. Collier. He served as Simsbury’s Superintendent of Schools from 1928 to 1931 and later led our Lodge as Worshipful Master. In 1961, he became the Grand Master of Masons in Connecticut—the highest Masonic office in the state.
Mr. Collier’s life was a model of service, education, and leadership. In 1977, our lodge established the Paul D. Collier Masonic Scholarship in his honor, awarded each year to students who demonstrate strong academics, school and community involvement, and the kind of moral character that uplifts those around them.
This year’s award recipients exemplify each of these principles and we wish them well in their pursuits of their goals and dreams.
On behalf of the freemasons of Valley Lodge No. 36 A.F.& A.M., we are pleased to present the 2026 Paul D. Collier Masonic Scholarship, in the amount of $2,000 each, to:
Grace Gleason, Aiden Hope and Madelene Davis."
Congratulations 🎊 👏
