In September, our Purchased: Not for Sale team was honored to be part of Operation Coast to Coast, a nationwide effort to combat human trafficking.
Right here in North Louisiana, four victims were identified, brought to safety, and connected with services.
We're incredibly grateful for Louisiana State Police, our law enforcement partners, and the organizations who worked together to make this possible.

LSP Troopers, Investigators, and Analysts worked alongside the FBI, Homeland Security Investigations, Shreveport Police Department, Bossier City Marshal’s Office, and analysts with the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office to identify victims, hold offenders accountable, and combat human trafficking.
As a result of the local operation, four victims were recovered and connected with services, and one individual was arrested for computer-aided solicitation of a minor and indecent behavior with juveniles.
Nationwide, Operation Coast to Coast brought together more than 250 law enforcement agencies and organizations. The coordinated effort provided services to 79 probable human trafficking victims, including five juveniles, and resulted in 125 arrests across 22 states, demonstrating the impact of agencies working together across jurisdictional boundaries toward a common mission.
Throughout the local operation, law enforcement efforts were supported by the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services, BCFS Common Thread, Purchased Not for Sale, and Our Rescue. These organizations played a critical role in providing services to those being exploited.
