✨Victory✨

Recently, Moeshay stopped by the Mission to share an update on how she and her children are doing—and our hearts were encouraged by her story.

When Moeshay first came to the Shreveport-Bossier Rescue Mission, she was looking for hope and a fresh start. During her time here, she found something even greater: a relationship with Jesus Christ. Today, she shared that she and her children are thriving, and their faith continues to be the foundation of their lives.

As a hardworking single mother, Moeshay has trusted God every step of the way, and it is incredible to see His faithfulness on display in her family's journey. Stories like hers remind us that true restoration is about more than meeting physical needs—it's about transformed lives and renewed hope.

Stories like Moeshay’s are only possible because of a community that chooses to care. You can be a part of the next victory story. Give today at https://bit.ly/sbrmdonate.

✨Victory✨

We are excited to celebrate a major milestone in Jackie's journey—he has secured a new full-time job!

Jackie came to the Mission through our Life Recovery Program and has continued working hard as a resident of our TLC Campus. Through dedication, perseverance, and God's grace, he's continuing to take steps forward on his journey to stability and independence.

A new job may seem like a simple thing to some, but for many of our guests, it's a huge milestone and a sign of how far they've come. We couldn't be more proud of Jackie and all the hard work he's put in to get to this point.

Join us in congratulating Jackie on this exciting accomplishment! We're looking forward to seeing what God has in store for him next.

What started as a simple Lunch & Learn has grown into a meaningful partnership that is making a difference in the lives of men and women in crisis throughout our community.

A special thank you to the Council on Alcoholism & Drug Abuse of NWLA (CADA) Crisis Response Team for stopping by the Mission with treats and for the incredible relationship we've built together. Through ongoing conversations, collaboration, and a shared passion for helping people in need, we've been able to better serve those facing homelessness, addiction, mental health challenges, and other crisis situations.

We are grateful for partners like CADA who are committed to meeting people where they are and helping them find hope, healing, and a path forward.

Thank you CADA for your friendship, your support, and the important work you do every day. Together, we are changing our cities one life at a time!

There’s something powerful about learning a new skill… especially when it becomes a stepping stone toward a brand new future.

Recently, the ladies in our New Beginnings Program spent time in the Mission's Culinary Arts Vocational Training learning how to fry chicken. While it may seem like a simple lesson, moments like these represent so much more. Our guests are gaining hands-on experience, building confidence, learning teamwork, and developing practical skills that can open doors in the workforce.

At the Shreveport-Bossier Rescue Mission, vocational training is about more than completing a task. It’s about helping men and women break the cycles of homelessness and poverty by equipping them with the tools they need for long-term stability and success.

Every class, every lesson, and every new skill learned is another step toward hope, independence, and the Jeremiah 29:11 future God has planned for them.

✨Victory✨

Every victory matters.

Kenyatta came to the Mission determined to make a change in her life — and she’s been steadily moving forward ever since. This week, she secured a job AND was able to get her ID with the help of our team!

What may seem small is actually a huge step toward stability, independence, and a brighter future. Kenyatta is beginning to see the potential God has placed inside of her and is excited about the life He has ahead for her.

At the Mission, we believe transformation happens one step at a time… and Kenyatta is taking those steps with courage, faith, and determination.

Keep up the amazing work, Kenyatta! Your Mission Family is cheering you on every step of the way.

Stories like Kenyatta’s are only possible because of a community that chooses to care. You can be a part of the next victory story. Give today at https://bit.ly/sbrmdonate.
