The Salvation Army of Northwest Louisiana provides shelter, food, and other types of assistance.

Serving Northwest Louisiana since 1904, the Salvation Army is open 365 days a year, providing shelter for over 103 people per night. This includes women with children, Veterans, single women, single men and an additional 30 emergency cots for extreme weather. The Salvation Army provides help to over 90,000 people annually through its Senior Day Program, Disaster Response Services, Regular Financial assistance, and at Christmas we help spread the holiday cheer to over 2,000 children. The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club is located at 821 Greenwood Rd., and was founded in 1933. Its mission is to help children in need of hope and direction, and it has done so for thousands of youth over the years. Along with these assistance and support programs, the Salvation Army is a church and all of our programs flow from our mission to serve God by providing compassionate service to people.

Paul wrote this to a church that had let him down and then made things right. Even in the middle of hard seasons, he found joy in the people around him. Who has been a source of encouragement for you lately? Give them a shout out in the comments today. 💛

Most of us are pretty good at surviving. We get through the week, check the boxes, and make it to Friday.

But Jesus said He came for something more: 'I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.' John 10:10

What would fuller look like for you this week? Tell us in the comments. 👇

Some days strength doesn't come from motivation, it comes from supernatural joy. Not the kind that depends on everything going right, but the kind that holds you steady anyway. This is the love of God. 🙏
