🎨 Creativity is in full swing with Friendship House kids!

Art Camp is officially underway, and our students are spending the week exploring new ways to express themselves through art. From art studies and sculpture projects to hands-on crafts and creative discovery, each day is filled with opportunities to learn, imagine, and create.

A special thank you to Lauren Simmons of ART by Lauren for sharing her time, talent, and passion with our youth. Experiences like these do more than teach artistic skills. They encourage curiosity, build confidence, strengthen problem-solving abilities, and give young people a chance to see the world through a different lens.

Every brushstroke, sculpture, and project is a reminder that creativity has the power to inspire new possibilities and help children discover gifts they may not have known they had.

🌟 They’re Off to Camp! 🌟

Our first group of Community Renewal Friendship House kids has officially arrived at Camp of the Hills in Marble Falls, Texas!🏕️☀️

For many of these children, this week will be filled with new adventures, new friendships, outdoor activities, confidence-building experiences, and memories that will last a lifetime. These moments matter. They help broaden horizons, build character, strengthen leadership skills, and remind our kids that there is a big world full of opportunities waiting for them.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make this possible through your financial support, donated supplies, encouragement, and prayers. Because of your generosity, children who may not otherwise have this opportunity are experiencing something truly special.

As they swim, explore, learn, laugh, and grow this week, we ask that you continue to keep them, our volunteers, and camp staff in your prayers.

Huge congratulations to America 250 Contest Winner Bria Rasco! 🇺🇸✨

Yesterday, Bria proudly read her essay during the Memorial Day event at Lodge 14, and she did an incredible job representing our youth and community. We are so proud of Bria and ALL of our amazing youth winners who continue to rise, lead, and use their voices in powerful ways. 👏🏽❤️

These moments remind us why investing in our young people matters.

This summer, the Friendship Houses will continue exposing youth to camps, leadership opportunities, travel experiences, arts, sports, and programs that help shape brighter futures and stronger communities.

For more than 35 years, Claudia Oliver and David Oliver have faithfully served Community Renewal International in countless ways, leaving fingerprints of care, generosity, and dedication all across our mission. 💙

From volunteering behind the scenes to helping lead fundraising efforts and planning the beloved Bob Griffin Croquet Classic year after year, their commitment has helped strengthen programs that continue changing lives throughout our community.

Because of supporters like Claudia and David, proceeds from the Croquet Classic continue to help fund the Adult Renewal Academy, creating opportunities for adults to pursue education, personal growth, and new beginnings.

Their 35 years of service represent what caring relationships truly look like in action. Thank you both for the time, heart, leadership, and unwavering dedication you have poured into this community for decades. 🏏✨

Graduation season is always a reminder that hard work, resilience, and determination still matter. Across our community, students are reaching major milestones and stepping into new opportunities, and we couldn’t be more proud of all they’ve accomplished. 🎓✨

We are especially celebrating two incredible young women from Green Oaks Performing Arts Academy who are already accomplishing amazing things:

👏 Daisha Harrison, a 10th grade sophomore, recently graduated from Southern University this past week and also scored an outstanding 805 on her English exam!

👏 Senior ShaTimolyn also graduated from Southern University last week and will graduate from Green Oaks Performing Arts Academy this coming week.

We are beyond proud of these young women and all of the graduates reaching milestones big and small this season. Your commitment, discipline, and perseverance deserve to be celebrated. Keep striving, keep growing, and continue showing the world what’s possible. 💙
